Hey guys, here's the thread!! Post all the tips u have in here. How to do's, do's, and don'ts.

What not to wear, use, and what to wear, use. Some tips that have worked for you, that u invented yourself, JUST SHARE IT ALL!

Here are some of mine.

- Wash your face everynight with "clean and clear" facial cleanser, It really works for me. make sure you wash your face whenever u get back from outtings.

- Let your face breath, let it get some fresh hair. i.e when you're at home, forget powder! Lip gloss isn't a crime tho.

- We all have our favorite jeans, the one we can pop in anytime anyday and be sure that it won't fail you. Do u have one? If not, what r u waiting for. GET IT!

- Little black dress, Ohhh u must have one, u need one. u don't have one?? GET IT NOW!! This is a most in every girl's closet.

- accessories., this could make a 'movie date dressing' turn into a 'dinner with his parents' dressing. Don't be afraid to accessorize. Bead are IN fashion now, bangles are IN fashion now, Play with them.

- COLOR -- mix match your outfits, gold, brown, green yellow, these r the colors that r IN presently. having three color on u is no longer considered as "color riot". SUmmer is Here already.

- shoes, your shoes completes your dressing. U could have the perfect outfit, but without the right shoes, you're doing it all wrong. Make sure your shoes flatter your whole outfit, u could even flatter it more by getting a matching bag.

-- Hair, Wrap your hair or wear a cap before going to bed at night, I heard it's good for the hair, if u are like me, people that fight karate in bed, but can't throw a fist in the afternoon, this will be a lil hard for you. Just try to get used to it.

-- make-up. SOmetimes less is more hunnie. U don't have to look like a clown! Get a powder that's your color. Some girls use white-powder, no one's skin color is WHITE, Covergirl is still the cheapest make-up u can buy even at walmart, get your skin color.

If u r in nigeria, don't buy those brown powder that are nothing but shiit they made of "elubo and coloring". Try to find a good powder, the last time i checked, tony montana is good. A lil bit of mascara to enlongate your lashes, eyeshadow to make your eyes more 'what's the word"? If you're going to wear make-up, WEAR IT RIGHT. Don't go all, 'i don't use make-up, except for powder and lip gloss on me". If u are going to use it at all, then USE IT, let it compliment your face.

Here are some more i tot of.

-- to make your eyebrows stay the shape u want them to be, use mascara to draw the shape of the brow. It makes it stay in one position. As in u won't have to brush all the time.

-- Always have lotion in your bag, because u never know. It's now a DON'T

ok i think i have one. for those who wax their eye brows themselves
- rub an ice block on it or put your face in steam b4 waxing. it helps you get rid of the hair from da root.

For smooth luscious lips, when you are washing your teeth (which you should do every day), use your tooth brush to gently scrub you lips a few times, it removes dead dry skin and makes you lips very soft and tingly.

-If you are a big person in stature,especially if you have wide hips,avoid wearing clothes that bring attention to the hips.i.e avoid wearing skirts or pants with too much activity.
-Look for the colour that suits your skin tone and wear more of it,for me its red so i tend to have a bit of red in most of my outfit.
-The dry lipstick versus black lipliner look is GONE FOR GOOD:AVOID IT GODDAMMIT!!!
-Try as much as possible to get your eyebrows done proffessionally,if you can't do that,get a friend who you think is really good to do it for you.NEVER use a razor blade to scrape the whole thing off.
-Avoid mascaras that "cake up" your lashes. . . . it makes one look like mammy water,its a big no-no
-Please ladies,always try to use hand scrub for your hands,if you can't afford that try using your regular moisturizer for your hands as many times in a day as possible.Nigeria has very harsh weather which can result in dry and chapped palms,trust me,that is NOT SEXY.
-If you don't have a flat stomach,always wear tops that will cover up your pouch,its not nice seeing women with big stomachs trying to feel sexy by wearing half tops.
-Avoid the sun as much as you can,its makes your skin look clearer and fresher.
-If you can afford it,pamper yourself with body treatments like spas,body peels etc.
Also people,avoid them bleaching creams o!

You can also use a mixture of honey and salt to gently scrub your lips,you´ll love the after-effect!

am gonna try clean and clear next, i just use this vitamin E thing, the face wash and the face mosturizer!

am not a person that notice changes that much, am blind!

but the thing is, i never shaved my eye brows before, my friends tell me its perfect as it is plus am scared i dont wana look like some wierd people in my school! ya reckon i can get away with not plucking my eye brows?

Adenike, u can just use twizzers to pick some hairs off, and get the desired brow u want. Or get one of those waxing things, that has the shape of a brow. Paste it on top of ur brow, and peel it off (say ouch??).

U can use shaving stick to scrap off some part too, it all depends on knowing ur angles. When u know how to shave right, and hold the stick, u should be fine. Besides, make sure u know what kinda brow will fit ur face. I recommend u do it professionaly first, then, u can maintain that shape by using shaving stick.

As for the honey lips, wow, i gotta try that one.

-- If u r gonna wear a 'show me back cloth', please remeber to apply lotion to ur back. yeah it happens to the best of us, we just use our hands to slap some lotion to the back, it remains ashy if not well rubbed.

-- Avoid by all means, using "gell" on ur hair everytime. It breaks the hair, yeah it makes it look good when u want it to, but it's breaking ur hair.

-- When u glue tracks (weave-ons) to ur hair, dont make it stay no longer than 2 months. If u do, u end up cutting ur hair like i did. Also, make sure u use hair glue remover, and not the old fashioned "hair cream/hair spray".

-- Talking about hair, Once u turn 15, having two pony tails on is a NO-NO. I still see people in my school do it. Come on now?? hello, two pony tails? Why do u need a horn?

-- nails, Uhmm avoid fixing long nails, Except of cause if u won a role in the nigerian movie "witches of our time".

-- Flower by the side of ur hair, yeah it looks pretty, if worn with the perfect "dress". Not a pair of jean, pink top, and a flat shoe, then u add a flower on ur hair. NAhhhh, nahhh. Flower on hair should be used properly, most appropriately when u have a dress on, or when u dress 'chicky". if u have a suit on, no flower on ur hair please!!! A brotch (sp?) on the suit replaces the flower u should have on ur hair.

-- Guys, what is up with tying du-rag and wearing a suit?? I mean come on now, wat will it cost u to have a nice hairstyle and throw the du-rag away? Please guys, please!!! Is ur head that big that u have to cover it? Get a nice hair cut or weave ur hair, and throw the du-rag away! It's a suit darn it. Suit!!

dont be scared girl. try using twizzer or use d special eyebrow razor to start if ur scared of waxing. Come on girl! d pain of wax is only for 2minutes n it will make u look cute.

I wax my eyebrow n ppl always notice as it looks cute.

Tips - Dont wax all ur eyebrow hair off. make it look cute.

N if u stay in london, d best place wher u can get ur eyebrows done are the chinese salon, where dey do d manicure, pedicure etc.

clean and clear facial cleanser does not work for me,i used it for a year,same with my sister and few friends.i use sea breeze facial cleanser,it so nice.neutrogena products too are good,the body cream,hand cream and the transparent facial bar but,i doubt their facial cleanser(s).its very good to use exfoliating body soap like dove.please,what can be used for a face burn?i have a friend that just came from naija  with burns on both sides caused by bleaching cream.what can be used for burns?

u aint gonna. Ur eyebrows will grow back. am sure u can endure for 2minutes. it's not even that painful. N d next time u wax again might b after 5eeks minimum, but it all depends on how ur hair grows. But ur not gonna wax everything off.

Has anyone tried the Revlon facial cleanser?

Im scared of using any other facial cleanser apart from clean and clear. I mean it works too good for me to wanna try something else.

I guess it depends mainly on your skin type.If clean and clear works for you,stick to it.
Do you use make up hot-a?

It depends on ur deffinition of Make-up.

I use this loreal thing it works real good for me.

im afraid of lo'real. A demartologist once told me that, it's for older women and i shouldn't spoil my tender skin with it. I mean he said, it's for curring wrinkles and so on. Well, i believed him, (he's not yet a full demartologist, he's studying to be one).

But hey, if it works for u sade (which it obviously does, in ur pictures), i say STICK TO IT.

@hot-a,i mean mascara,eze shadow,eze liner,lip liner. . . the whole works.

Yeah Spike it does wonders and it also has this liquid you put on that takes away blackspots.

@ spiked, yeah i use powder (no foundation), mascara, lip gloss (i don't like lip sticks), eye shadow, (depend on where im going).

I use make-up. But i never look like a clown. I know my stuffs. My color and everything like that. What fits my skin and the whole ish, unlike some people, who just pour stuffs on their face.

Not that am advising you,its not my place to but dont you think all that is too much for your still very fresh and tender skin?

Powder isn't too much for my tender skin. At least so i think. Lip gloss is just 'normal' to moisturize the lip. And eyeshadow, mascara for if im going OUT, like parties, and church, and just outtings that require looking 'extra good'. I look really good everyday, but there r some days u gotta add extra.

U think powder is bad? what abt for oily faces? Lip gloss is bad? Chapped lips? mascara, enlongate the lashes.

As i said,am in no place to advice you i just stated my thoughts.Do as you please huney!
