meanwhile the script for God of War is all done, penned by david self (road to perdition, 13 days) with lots of input from the creators filming to start soon with Djimon honsou possibly as kratos. me, i think larry fishbourn will be a better kratos. he has the looks, the voice, the method.  all he needs is some white paint.

my thoughts exactly, re kurt wimmer. imagine snake going all Gun-Kata on genome soldiers. that will seriously mar the action. me, i hate Gun-Kata, its too hyper to the point of senselessness ala ultraviolet.

but the, the only other alternative is uwe boll 


i don't know who may helm GoW but if im to suggest a candidate it ought to be ridley scott. he is good with mattes and digital vistas and lawd knows GoW will require some righteous CGI especially in the backdrops.

the choice of Self for scripting is a bit off; road to perdition and 13 days are  S   L    O    W whereas GoW is a fast-paced actioner.  hmm, we'll see.

me, i want Legacy of Kain filmed. who should be Kain? Jeremy Irons has the voice, they can CGI the height aqnd muscles (ala xerxes in 300). raziel, hmm, tat one should be CGI. the backgrounds of Nosgoth should be hyperreal as in 300 and sin city.

raziel can never be played by a human. how do you factor his degraded look with makeup? has to be CGI. maybe the gollum route: motion capture+CGI.

i want jeremy irons to be kain. did you know, GoW actually "borrowed" the whole pawn concept from LoK? yes, im sure you guessed gaea was playing Kratos and using him to kill off olympus so the titans can reign once more, much as the hylden god played raziel in LoK SR and Defiance. something tells me kratos will die ala raziel in defiance, except kratos wont make a noble sacrifice to enable the destruction of the titans as raziel did for kain. i daresay kratos will take on them himself when he realizes what an arse he was, and use rage to take them all down.

he will die ingloriously, because he is an antihero.

don't be a d1ck    , metal gear has one of the best story lines? please! nuclear holocaust is old hat, especially now in this age of cybercrime, anthrax, Improvised Explosive Device, Britney spears.

at least in Guns of The Patriot they are going the right way what with Private Military Contractors ala the infamous Blackwater in iraq, and nanotechnology.

as a game metal gear is great, its greatest selling point was its remarkable presentation value, cut scenes, and gameplay (but they still need to tweak shooting). but its plot is lackluster.

in terms of story very few games can come close to oblivion and the Legacy of Kain series.

in fact, nothing comes remoely close to Lok.


Philanthropy will stink.

unknown actors are always overshadowed by good story and set pieces. who the hell were those guys in 10,000 BC? or 300? or apocalypto? it doesnt matter the wattage of an actor as long as the rest of the movie moves along nicely. sometimes the big-name actors end up making more of a mess than the little guys.

and if you look closely, you will see kratos looks less caucasian and more black. besides, he is all so covered in white paint it wont matter if he was black or white.

RACIST.

on the same topic, hardcore gamers can never be pleased when it comes to game-movie conversion. why? because in games you are part of the shaping of events, you control the fate of some elements in the game.
in the movie you just switch off your brain and pray to god paul w. anderson can convincingly remake the horror of the licker on the ceiling in RE2.

only games driven by good story lines should be movied; those with lame plots and thick action (devil may cry, dead rising) should strcitly remain as mindless video games that wish they were movies.
