first of all what video care does your laptop use

it is probably nvidia /ATI/ intel

if its nvidia - go to www.laptopvideo2go.com for the latest driver. try to confirm the make and model of your vido card

Thanks for the heads up man. I'm thinking I could upgrade my Nvidia Geforce card from 32bits to 64bits, would it have any significant boost to my graphics capabilities? Again, most importantly, is it safe to upgrade? I won't want a system crash abi?
Cheers

sorry, it wont work. the 64 bit driver will ONLY work on a 64 bit OS ie 64 bit windows. you have to first install 64 bit windows(vista or xp) . to install 64 bit windows your system must have a 64 bit processor. if your processor is 64 bit, it will be probably be indicated on a sticker somewhere

i don't recommend installing 64bit windows on a system unless the system is used for a minimum of tasks. eg video editing alone. this is because a lot of hardware is not supported/drivers are unavailable.imagine finding there's no 64 bit driver for your starcomms card or your camera, etc. it can be very incovnevenet or annoying o find your favorite app will not work on 64 bit windows.

classic example autocad 2008 comes in 64 bit and 32 bit editions. the locally available autocad 2008 (pirated ) is 32 bit. so if you have 64 bit windows. . .though there's a hack somewhere to make it work. worse, some autocad addons will not work with 64 bit autocad!

sorry, you'd best stay with the existing driver.

i'm assuming you're talking about changing your driver.

what you can do is download the latest 32 bit nvidia driver from laptopvideo2go.
