@hayprof.Yeah,Kaspersky is better,but there is one anti-virus that I downloaded from: http://kapoorweb.peperonity.com known as Eastshield Forticlient.Men,the anti-virus is quite tite as it has all the functions of Kaspersky and many more and what made me to esteem this anti-virus high was when I scanned and discovered 15 whooping VIRUSES with it whereas my Kaspersky and Avirax'08 scanned and deleted no virus in these same files!The snags is that it does not have a keygen and expires in 2 days but I enjoyed it while it lasted. |

How can I update my Symantec anti-virus offline,guys?I downloaded the latest Symantec virus definitions(2008) from: http:/kapoorweb.peperonity.com which is a 'savce.def' file.When I explored my Symantec antivirus using Symantec,I discovered a 'savce.def' file inside and I replaced it with the downloaded update.When I launch my Symantec,the update didnt work,displaying error message and I had to re-install the original Symantec 2005 anti-virus again for it to function properly again.So,any idea on how to update it offline?

the kaspersky i use on my Nokia E61i, its FULL . .though i had to install some apps that turnd off the compatibily & signed app issues Off, so i was able to install the Kaspersky @ a go. It didnt even ask for a key. .nd it updates fully. .
I think i uploaded a screenshot of the antivirus update process. .

Basilist7@Mcafee is d worst anti-virus i have ever installed.I got skulls after installing it.Kerpasky is is also good.Sim-works also good,netqin good but slows the phone down while browsing,poster@u did not add f-secure to your list this is one of d best.

though, mine updates directly

updated as at 11.08.08 is a sis file,just install it and its will do the rest
updated as at 10.08.08 is .bat file,
>unzip it
>copy or move to
>C or E/system/app/kmobile
>and over-ride the one u see there.
