Interprete These Figures In Your Language If You Can
« on: April 03, 2008, 12:08 PM »

I am wondering about our proficiency in handling figures in our languages so, I would like us to challenge each other in this field.

Let me start.

7,809  Igbo - Puku asaa, nari asato na iteghete/itolu.    Grin

111  Igbo - otu nari, iri na otu  Cheesy

Pleas feel free to interprete in your own language and drop figures you would love interpreted by others. The list is endless.

9001 - Puku iteghete na otu

1982 - Otu puku, nari iteghete, iri asato na abuo

2008 - Puku abuo na asato

419 - Nari ano, iri na iteghete

all in Igbo

Do I believe in re-incarnation?

As a christian, NO, I don't.

The traditional Igbo man believes in re-incarnation though.

I asked that question because your grip on the language is uncommon in this generation; as if you came from generations before us. Well done my man Wink

You are correct but the 'nari' in the billion, million and thousand should come first. See what I mean below:

Nari ijeri abuo na iri, nari nde ise na iri isii na ato, nari puku asaa na iri asaa na isii, nari asato, iri ano na otu.

You are a great man. I am really challenged. Kudos Kiss
