Lakraft entertainment under the aegis’s of ESWC is preparing three Nigerian Representatives to compete globally. The organization which was founded in 2001 by young entrepreneurs with a passion for digital entertainment and with a mission to empower the youths through competitive video gaming set for the United States of America.
According to the Adeniyi Alaba the CEO of Lakraft “the secured license from ESWC worldwide managed by Game Services S.A France makes us their sole representative in Nigeria and as such a major electronic sport prompter in the country. The world gaming tournament is set to take place between August 25 and 27, 2008 in San Jose, California. In June 10,000 gamers are expected to take part in the preliminaries at Multipurpose Hall Akoka, that will present 32 champions who will compete at Planet One Ikeja to represent Nigeria in the World tournament.
Alaba said that many objectives will be include providing employment opportunities, building and leading a new dimension in sports entertainment in Nigeria through video games, electronic games, delighting its gamers and spectators with magical moments which will result in high comeback value for the company. In so doing its desirous of converting mere business transaction into relationships, empower the Nigerian youths through our social conscious approach by giving prices that contribute to continuous development of gamers (Scholarships, endowment funds and the likes).
