hi, i'm new to this graphics thing, i av ideas but i'm not too good at using the software packages. i'm interested in learning Flash, photoshop,corel draw, maya. is there anyone who can help me. i'm very desprate. i'll appreciate anyone that i s willin to be of help. -from a desperate learner  |

It is not an easy task but if you are dedicated like you said, you will get there. Juat visit some forums and learn the basic, and RTFM, lol it is called Read The F**** Manual. Asa beginner, do not concern yourself with so many apps since that will easily confuse you and slow your progress, for instance go for photosho and maya if you are going the 3d route istead of going for Lightwave,3D Max, Softimage XSI and Cinema 4D. Trim down on the apps and you will get there pretty soo, you're going to need a lot of patience. You will definitely need hands-on experience via a seminar or class of some sort. Even if you RTFM (I hate this acronym, but I digress  ), graphics isn't such that you can capture art in words. It has to be learned, it has to be experienced hands-on. I know a guy who will be coming there for a seminar some time in the year. Perhaps you could attend the seminar and get to learn from him. I am sending him a link to this post so he is aware that you and perhaps others will need this type of training. I hope this helps |

go to www.torrentspy.com. search for photoshop or flash or maya tutorial. download one of the video files using bitlord. that should help a bit |

its a P3, 256 of ram 40 gig HDD and 1 ghz of speed i should think (Its not here with me its at home in Lagos

This programmes use a lot of memory space (especially Maya) so you might want to get a computer with higher memory, say 80/100 gb. Also you need a good graphic card reader.
