I would say that it depends on where exactly you would like to channel solar energy towards. If you are talking about generation of power on a commercial scale e.g a solar power station, then that would be very expensive. A solar power station like that in Spain (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/6616651.stm) would probably set you back about $29m. . Smaller scaled projects would probably be cheaper, but still more expensive than conventional power sources e.g generators.

itz not a bad idea at all.Therez hardly ever Power from NEPA.They are now secondary source of power and Gen. primary source especially in some parts of Lagos.Solar is being used in a number of countries it will be good if we can have it to reduce NEPA. NEP plc watever they call themselves

I would be interested in a solar power intiative. NEPA will be a crime of the past if Nigeria ever starts to do such.
