Position Title: Senior Field Engineer
 
Work Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom State
 
Duties:
 
Responsibilities include:
Interpreting engineering design drawings and specifications and ensuring that most current revision is being utilized.
Acting as Prime Reviewer and coordinator of comments on subcontractors’ submittals including field drawings and sketches, subcontractor Requests-For-Information (RFI’s), material substitution requests and other types of submittals.
Coordinating field reviews and comments of 65% and 100% design documents and provide summation of commentary to Project Engineer.
Supervising Office Engineer and Draftsperson in CADD operations for field design revisions and local production of drawings.
Providing functional coordination of Lead QA/QC Civil and Architectural Engineers
Attending weekly and monthly subcontractor review meetings.
Qualifications
10+ years working on international projects with significant engineering scope
10+ years working with construction contractors in furtherance of the design concept
Undergraduate degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
Excellent fluency with spoken and written English
Good skills with Microsoft Suite of software applications
