I saw an advert in one of the dailies 2 days ago. Ministry of interior incharge of Police, Civil Defence, Immigration and Prison services wants to employ. They stated in the advert that Bsc holders will be taken in their superintendant cadre while HND and ND holders will be taken as Inspectors and assistant Inspectors respectively. what manner of discrimination is this?? Coming from the same Federal Government that claims HND and Bsc holders are given equal treatment in terms of FG emploment. I wonder what they want employers in the private sector to do to HND holders if they can do this. What do you guys have to say about this discrimination coming from those who are suppose to fight against it.

Someone should please call them to order; it is very wrong. It shows clearly that HND and Bsc are not equivalent. But i thought FG said HND and BSc should be at par in terms of employment and job progression??

perhaps someone should right to them or call them to make sure it is not a mistake
at least if they have made they (FG) say they are equal then they shouldnt be putting
out advert that contradicts their directive
If you want to take it further you should cut and post the advert to the ministry of
education and labour to get a clarification
All these if you have time obviously,
I doubt the have anybody replying to enquiries

Let the view be relay in the dallies and may be paid advert , i will in my own strength write a letter to some dallies, this is bad

Honestly people concern need to stand up and fight against it, else this discrimination against holders of HND will never stop in this country.
@HND-holder, where are you please??
With what is going on now i have now come to agree that HND is not equivalent to Bsc in Nigeria, else Federal Government will not be discriminating. They have so decieved many to do HND that it is equivalent to a Degree. They even ask HND graduates to go for NYSC with Degree holders; but at the end of the day they still term you as a decorated monkey; and a decorated monkey can never be a human being as we all know, it is still a monkey. That is exactly what i feel and believe about this discrimination against HND holders in Nigeria. Chei, na wa oo. Run away from HND my brothers and sisters.

it is better 4 FG yo cancelled Polytechnic because they are given we HND holders serious headache.d dog in my house wil never go to Poly any
longer
