Good day to all in the house, I have some few questions on the International Graduate Scheme (Post Study Work) and I'm hoping I might be able to draw on the knowledge or experience of Nairalanders here.
1. Can a holder of the IGS visa set up a limited company to work as an IT contractor.
2. Is there a definite date on when the Post Study Work Visa (under the point based system) would come into effect?
3. What is the waiting times for a postal IGS application like. The HO seems to indicate anything between 4 to 12 weeks. Can anyone indicate if they have been able to get a response within 4 weeks.
4. Are there any disavantages in going through the one-day PEO appointment or sending in a postal application with regards to an IGS application.
Just my few questions on the IGS. I'm hoping that nairalanders that have gone through this process before would be able to share their experience in this respect. I am looking at making an application after completion of my studies by September and seeks to be made aware of any gotchas. Thanks for your response.

These questions can best be answered by a simple email to the home office or an afternoon session with the citizen's advice bureau.

You could also talk to those in charge at the International Students' office/department at your Uni. They are also well/best informed on this issue.

Thanks for your response guys.
@ow11 - I am just hearing about the Citizen's Advice Bureau, I'll check them out.
@Funkybaby - I'll contact the IO at the Uni as well. And to think I missed them out.

@akolawole
I agree but some of them are really conversant with the whole procedure.
My 'friend' did his few months back and he got absolutely all the help and advice he needed from the international students' office. I would have asked him how he went about the whole thing just that right now, his voice is the last thing i am willing to hear, Lol.
Anyway, just incase moods change and i get the info from him,i will not hesitate to post it here.
