2008/2009 ADMISSION EXERCISE
The 2007/2008 Academic Session of the University of Ilorin ends in May, 2008 while a new session will commence in September, 2008.
As an Institution committed to Academic excellence and good practices, and a University that runs normal Academic Calendar i.e. September to June, prospective candidates for admissions into the University of Ilorin for the 2008/2009 Academic Session are hereby notified that the Senate of the University has decided that:
(I) The 2008/2009 University of Ilorin Admission Screening Exercise would be by Computer Based Test (CBT) in English and General Paper (Aptitude Test)
(II) Admission requirements into MB:BS programme in the College of Health Sciences for the 2008/2009 session would be as follows:
A ADMISSION THROUGH THE UME
(i) Candidates must score not less than 240 in the 2008/2009 JAMB
Examination.
(ii) Candidates must have passed with credit at one sitting only at the
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or its equivalence in each of the following subjects:
English Language
Mathematics
Biology
Chemistry and Physics
(iii) Candidates must meet the cut-off point for the College in the
University organized 2008/2009 Admission screening exercise.
B. ADMISSION THROUGH DIRECT ENTRY
(i) Candidates must earn an aggregate of 13-15 points in IJMB or
GCE Advanced Level Examination in the relevant subjects of:
Biology
Chemistry and
Physics
(ii) Obtain the cut-off point for the College in the University organized
2008/2009 Admission screening exercise.
(iii) Candidates with a minimum of Second Class Upper Honours
Degree in Zoology, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and other relevant courses in the Basic Sciences shall be considered.
