Unfortunately the UK Visa Appeal thread has been locked no thanks to that idiot called vicjustice. I do not want to talk on this matter on this thread. But I would say that there is more to the refusal than your employers payment not reflecting in your account, although I have once handled a case in the UK where this was also the case for an HSMP applicant. But what kind of help do you need exactly?

   Sorry about the refusal.
   Now, talking about N1m which did not reflect the transaction details in your bank account, do you mean you intend to sponsor yourself?
   Answer back so we'd know where to work on.
   Please, give more details of the contents in the letter of refusal, and feel free to ask any further question in this very thread which is designed to answer your queries, and those of us who are honourable dignitaries and eminent personnel of high reputations-dealing with immigration issues both at home and abroad and well regarded for our proven integrity and accountabilities will definitely make answers available to your queries.

The basis for the refusal sounds inconclusive.
Were you the one sponsoring yourself?
If not was there any other statement used ?
Were u applying for masters or Degree Course?
How much did you pay to the school?
Was there right for a full appeal?

If these questions are answered , am sure i can proffer a solution.

@xtianfemi

The other guys have said this so many times - time and time again here. People posting here seeking help regarding their visa refusal and intent to appeal need to lay their cards on the table - wriite out the appeal statement - word for word (taking out personal info of course). That in my opinion is the only one anyone can give a meaningful suggestion or advice on your case.

Don't expect people to give any meaningful contribution on why you have been refused or the best way to appeal based on your own narration or interpretation of the refusal alone. A dispassionate account of the situation surrounding the refusal needs to be given and the best way to do this is to write out the complete refusal statement. If you are truly serious about getting any meaningful help here, then what's the issue with taking 10-20 mintues typing out this information?

How body?

For you to procure a visa for prospective students is no mean feat. It is easier for a camel to pass through the eyes of needle. Wink You can go online or use your local library to research the best university to choose for your course. Wink

@ Bumper,

. . . Others in the confraternity are seeing what is happening they have decided to stay on the sidelines and watch. . .

So sue me, then.

See drowning rat clutching at straws. Awon da, na today? This issues relating to the travel fraternity has been bandied around for months now, with the one reverberating comment which is for you guys to temper mercy with justice, pele pele di owo yin.

Have you paused to ask yourself why the rest of the travel fraternity have used their sense of modicum and decorum to maintain a deafening, albeit dignified silence?

Have you paused to wonder why they have not joined forces with you, Mr giddy goat or is it Mr billy-no-mates?

Mr Investigative journalist of the year, do you want to add the Mr no-brainer-of-the-month award to your accolade too?

When did you turn into such a lame-duck?

Well to put you out of your misery and my parting shot to you, the reason the rest of the travel fraternity have decided to watch from the side-line (since day one if i may add Wink) is that the wisdom they possess dictates thus, that A CHAIN IS ONLY AS STRONG AS ITS WEAKEST LINK.

Mr holier-than-thou, you are on your own with your battle to rid NAIRALAND of the evil (in your own books) that is vicjustice.

@Big_Bumper,
My sister, I dey fine. I've finally decided on where to study, the reason I was asking those "people" then was to make an informed decision. But since I came in myself, I've been able to access the schools properly and decide on which one to go for. I still dey around for now, just visiting friends and when I get bored I log on to nairaland (at least "them" say i'm insane).

take care,

In a lighter mood - (not referring to your earlier posts today). You funny man. Where you learn all that waffi speak - e be like say you be real hard core waffarian - 'areaaa'.  You's the funniest son-of-a-gun I've ever come across on a public forum  Smiley

So you're now in the UK now - hmmn. Watch out bros. You're long way away from waffi. I think you need to share with folks in the house how you successfully made your prospective student visa application.

I no be waffarian - I be 'omo eko'. But that waffi accent na die - I dey trip, especially for the core undiluted ones. Wish I could visit the place some day though and hear it spoken -  from the 'source'.

Back to thread topic - there's the impression that the prospective student visa is quite difficult to get - especially for people in naija. which is why I thought some folks might benefit from knowing how you got yours. 'Or na agent you use? Grin'.

@Vicjustice,
At last we meet on nairaland!! Just came in for my interview. Should be back fully when school resumes in Sept/Oct. I still dey around for a couple of days.

@dnative,
didnt use an agent, good thing about it is that i can extend it here in the UK, i just applied for the student visa every other thing was in place, my offer was conditional (because i was scheduled for an interview with the school).

Dude, if you have nothing to contribute on this thread at this time of the day, other than discussing about me and giving yourself a hard-on, log out and go to bed.

Right now, i have absolutely nothing against you so i have no intention of getting into a war of words with you.

@ incagold,vicjustice & every one else hello.

Please i need your advice regardiing my impending visa application.
I'm an accountant and am planning on coming to the uk for my acca exams.
I've already secured a school (London SAM) and am currently going about raising the funds.
But the news i've been hearing of late has been discouraging.
My cousin recently told me that in all likelihood i'd be denied the visa because i don't have a statement of account(i'm a fresh graduate) and also, the person sponsoring me is not directly related to me(he's my in law)
I'm seriously confused. Please your advice is needed.

  Though the rate of refusal is higher than can be imagined, (this is because of the number of the UK visa applicants in Nigeria alone which amounts to about 17.500 people a month), but yet, people are getting the visas.
   Talking about your bank statement: it's better not to apply with it at all than to present a statement of account which does not reflect a transaction record of up to six months: don't let them catch you with money lodgment (that's depositing huge isolated amount of money into your account for the application purpose) because, that would make them doubt your real intentions.
   And regarding your (in-law) sponsor: your relationship with him is not a problem as long as there are evidences that he intends to make fund available for your maintenance in the UK, and the ECO must be satisfied of how your sponsor will benefit from your education.
   If you can meet all these, then go ahead and apply, otherwise, reserve your money for a well prepared application: Remember, things are easier when done orderly.
   Is there anything else we can help you with?

Thanks vicjustice but I don't understand what u mean by ECO.

With the program I'm going for, my sponsor will only handle the first year of the 2 year program.

I intend to work to cover the rest.

As regards maintenance, i have a sister i intend staying with and my sponsor does not stand to benefit  in any way.

So what do I do?

   Is this what you're going to explain to the ECO?
   My friend, they will refuse you because, this indicates that you would have some financial difficulties in the UK.

  These collective means of maintenance, sponsor and support will not deem credible to the ECO, in fact, it reflects a lot of blunders, it has to be better coordinated.
   If your sister is ready to host you, there are some things that would be taken into consideration.
            How did she get into the UK?
            What's her Immigration stutus like?
            What does she work as?
            What's her anual income?
            Has she ever resorted to public funds?
            What's her statement of account like?
            What's her residencial house like (has it got rooms from you)?
            Does she own the property or lease it?
            Is she going to accept some responsibilities regarding your stay in the UK?
