Is There Anyone Who Has A Career Or Experience As Regards Ariba

i have been asking same question too since i can across the advert by chevron on the post of an ARIBA BUYER AS SUPERVISOR, i hope there is someone here with any useful information on how to go about it because i am also interested in taking up a career as an Ariba Buyer.

ARIBA  .Its a Spend management software, developed and maintained by a corporation know as Ariba in the US, its the software employed by ChevronTexaco/Topcon and Stardeep operations globally including Nigerian ,its meant to streamline activities with suppliers/contractors and the Company on one hand and to leverage operation cost, also to reduce time spent .Since Ariba is online on the internet, suppliers can submit bills real time and get approval, also Chevron staffs making requisitions from supplies or  for services can do this with contractors in real time too. This is a simple explanation of the process of eProcurement ( Electronic Procurment) of Services or suppliers
Ariba e procurement is a standard and virtually all Chevron contractors should to have access to, since your services can be catalogued and it will be a lot easier to request for services and faster to have Bills created and settled.

So if you are not using this software now to work either as a chevron staff or contractor, I guess it will be pretty much tough to face an interview or test if called for one.But try all the same

Ariba as a company runs program on use  of its software, but I don’t know if it’s done here in Nigeria for now.
