Hi people, I was just wondering if anyone on here knew any mobile phone retailers in Lagos that might want latest state of the art phones from the UK. I'll be coming down soon and I don't want to fil my cases with useless things, I can lay my hand on most latest phones (and a few not so late ones)
I would like someone to please update me on what the trends are like in Nigeria and what sort of price these phones usually retail for. If they prices are good, I can bring up to 10 when I'm coming. The kind of phone out here now are Nokia 8800 (gold and titanium) [Gold version pic included], Nokia N90, N91 and very very recently N80
Thanks

The prices on shopforless are quite on the high side, an average naija guy will not buy on that site, if you got some who could get you the real market value from naija straight, it be gravy. i'll send you a price list 2mrrw.

Ok thanks, Seun and Trips, The phones I can get are mostly brand new, some might be reconditioned, or even fairly used. All will be tested though before I leave, just to make sure they are in full working order so I don't end up carrying excess luggage for nothing, I'll be waiting for your price list tomorrow , Trips so I'll see if its something I can work with. Thing is I'll need to know what sort of prices they go for so I can then see if I can get deals around here, but if it's anything like the prices on that Seun's site, I can go between 5 to 30,000 naira lower on most of the items on there, so like I said, give me some figures and I'll play around with them. I could get some mp3 players too, but I don't know how popular those are in Nigeria.

@Naijacute
Please becareful in bringing mobile phones to Nigeria.
By the time you get to Naija, you'll be suprised that it is cheaper in Naija.
Remember UK don't produced mobile phones.

I was going to say the same thing too because I wanted to be sending phones to Naija before I found out that when I convert the cost price to Naira, it's actually more than the price they are selling it in Computer Village in Nigeria. The reason being that the phones used in Nigeria are mostly Dubai phones and not UK phones. But then I thought; "Maybe Naijacutee will be getting them somewhere at a cheaper price."

That's why I needed to know what kind of prices they retail for in Naija so I'd know if its really worth it. I've got a few links where I can get most of these phones, for at least 15% cheaper (Ones made for UK specs and not the mass - produced Chinese "for export to Nigeria only" ones) So I'll be grateful if someone could tell me how much I could get them phones for - Them phones meaning any new state of the art phone you can think of!

don't let anyone fool you, unless you are getting the phones from Dubai or China, you will end up selling them at a loss.
the ones from china are cheap and never original, sometimes reconditioned
the ones from Dubai are fake that never last more than two months. Dubai ones are always brand new.
be careful in bringing phones to nigeria if do not have connection with the nigerian customs.
