THE CODE OF IRISH REGISTRATION PLATE NUMBER The Opel at the left has a registration plate given as CHAIRRAI 08-KY-642 Mainly looking at the number, one can understand that the vehicle was bought in 2008 (this year), registered in KY (KILLARNEY) in County Chairrai (Gaelic spelling for KERRY), and it's the 642nd vehicle of the year. While the other Toyota with registration number as: LUIMNEACH 03-L-2719 was purchased in 2003 in County Luimneach (Gaelic word/spelling for LIMERICK), and it was registered in L (Limerick) city; it is the 2719th vehicle in that year. This system of registration actually makes some people compete for new vehicles or for vehicles with most recent registration years, and the practice indeed goes a long way in revealing how comfortable Irish people are in terms of the standard of living which is no doubt one of the best in the world with Irish economy competing with that of Norway for the number 2 position in the world after Luxembourg.

A mobile home belonging to an Irish TRAVELLER community member: These people are actually called Travellers because they prefere to live the normad livestyles which they accustomed due to the old generation experience when Ireland was desperately poor and the people had to survived moving from place to place dealing on the Irish potatoes.
Note: Though, Irish people who maintain this lifestyle are commonly referred to as "Travellers", but it's extremely offensive to directly call anyone a "Traveller" be warned that the people involved are characterised by their daring behaviours.

Nice pictures Vic. Some of those pictures I have only seen on the travel channel when they feature those countries. You must have had a wonderful time.
One suggestion though, instead of posting the picture here and taking up bandwith and space, you can use one of those free online picture sharing sites, such as flickr, Kodak gallery, snapfich, etc. Just upload the pictures there and post the link here. I personally use Kodak gallery and have thousands of pictures stored on their servers.

Perhaps you have to use a photo resizer, google it out and download one for free. You really tried, sure you had a pleasant trip full of fun It doesnt mean the car was bought that year but was manufactured that year. Sure, it was all fun, but believe me, it was some exhausting fun. Thanks My neighbour bought a car on Wednesday, 2nd of January 2008, and the car was registered 08-**-***: So, is the 08 the year that it was manufactured or the year that it was registered? Well, i live in Ireland: Registration numbers have got nothing to do with the brand or the year of the car, but rather the registered year. Although, importation of fairly used cars from other countries into Ireland for the purpose of Irish registration is almost unheard of, but yet the law says if a car has been fairly used (in other country) before being brought to Ireland, it should be registered according to the manufactured year which must not be older than 3 years.

vicjustice,
I am planning to apply for a tourist visa to greece with my woman, though we're not married yet. I would like to know if its sufficient to apply with just an hotel reservation or i must have an invitation letter tothat effect?
What other documents do you thinkare necessary to have handy?
Tourist visa? Greece is a Schengen state hence it practices the same visa procedures as do Germany and others. I briefly touched this because, some people think it's better to apply for visa in some embassies as compared to others. Whether you're married or not is not a problem, what you guys need are valid accounts with satisfying sum of money with a record showing six months transaction details, and ultimately, evidence(s) that you have a responsibility in Nigeria that would deem credible to satisfy the visa officer that you'll return after your trip, and also, travel insurance
