Original Vs Sample? your Preference
« on: April 21, 2008, 09:36 AM »

heard this programme on rhythm 93.7 and was trying to compare puffy's - every step i take and sting's every step. no doubt, sting is such a talented singer but to me i'll prefer puffy's version because it rocks the airwaves all through its duration

want to to knw your preference as per original songs and the sample. my preference is the sample. the original's beat arranger did a very good work with the beat but i think the person that did the arrangement for the sample's worked with state of the art technologies and came up with a very good version of the original.

The fact that it is original gives it 50% credit. The sample can only compete for a part of the remaing 50%. For me original is the mother of the sample so the sample cannot ever be better. The age may be different that's why the appreciation differs
