Breastfeeding, My Husband, And My Small Breasts
« on: April 21, 2008, 10:27 PM »

My breasts are small,  and am about having my first baby. I want to breast feed her exclusively but my husband is afraid the breast may go flat or become smaller after the breast feeding.  infact he suggests I don't breast feed at all to avoid sagging or reduction in size of my breast.

But I have tried to make him understand the importance of breast milk to the health and growth  of children, now he has agreed I should breast feed, but each time he looks at the breast he makes comment like: I wonder how this your breast will look like after this baby sucks it. That points to me that if my breast change so much after breast feeding it might bring a kind of problem between me and my husband.

Please I want to know if there is anything I can do to prevent it from sagging during or after breast feeding.

breast milk is essential in d life of every child, gives d baby more  sense, but when you're pregnant the breast is supposed to increase a little bit now?anyway i know of some people whose breasts does not increase but have big tummy, and i know of people whose tummy is not so big but full breast,i believe your child needs breast milk for 6 months(if not more) if possible, its called exclusive, makes d baby's homone strong, and d baby's immune system will be very stong, because breast milk as gat so much calcium and co in there,so make your husband understand d need of a breast milk, and leave your breast like that,no go increase am ooo, because na so God give u

Your husband is one selfish moron.
Did he marry you or your breasts?

Shouldn't your child be more important then him wanting bountiful breasts to fondle.
What rubbish!

Breasts sag with age!  Not breast feeding fact!

i really can't stop laughing   @ topic na wah for your husband

except you do  cosmetic surgery  after bearing your child/children , to reshape(enlarge/reduce ) your breasts

there is nothing you can do about your breasts sagging ( or changing shape )

as women age  gravitational pull and so many other factors contribute to breast sagging

tell your hubby to start a 401k breast-fund for you  Wink ( if he wants shapely ,succulent tommy knockers for the rest of his days) Cheesy Wink

My husband is not a moron at all neither is he selfish, just that he loves breast so much and wouldn't want it smaller rather bigger.  He considers the baby as well but he is sincere to say his worries.  I just wanted to know if there is any style of breast feeding that can help not to make it smaller or saggy.

Yea! not  selfish enough to think about how the breast will be for him after the baby suckle it, not the nutrients the baby will be receiving from the breast milk. Eno selfish gan ni o

I don't even get this topic, I thought breast-feedin' actually increases the breast size and not decrease it. I remember an episode of this TV show 'Yes, dear', Kim, a small-breasted woman, and after over a year of breast-feedin' her kid refuses to stop breast-feedin' the kid because her boobs got larger since she started breast-feedin'. Therefore, the breast-feedin' would actually make the boobs bigger and not smaller. So, you shouldn't be complainin'.

LOL. yea. for a while, I think it get back to tis normal size 6-12 months after the birth of the baby. My mom  just recently gave birth to a baby, he's one years old now and there's barely any milk in the breast, the breast kind of got smaller.

There is no style to breastfeeding. It is what it is. It is a sacrifice simply put. He loves breasts? Who doesnt? you are the one making the sacrifice, the one who is going to be hunched over just to get the right posture for the little one. What is his own? have you not heard that some men are jealous of the bonding between mother and child and are so used to having all the wife's attention? Far fetched? you never know!

p.s even if you don't breastfeed those breasts will sag eventually. Its called gravity.  Grin

Lactation actually increases breast size because the nursing mother produces large quantity of milk which swells up the breasts and gives it bounce. As the baby feeds, it decreases until replaced/refilled again. When breast feeding eventually stops, the breasts become smaller than the normal size, because then its empty and it has lost its bounce, sagging in the process.

I wonder why all these ladies (are they) are spewing venom on the poster's husband just because she made the mistake of sharing her worries on this thread is not enough reason to insult her (as that is what you're doing by insulting her husband)

For all we know, the guys view/anxiety about the breast could just be harmless and be as a result of lack of adequate info, since when did that become a crime?Abi una fisrt get bad belle for the guy from before before?
