you would also definitely know when he walks up to you because he wants to get to know you on the other level. And most of them walk up to a lady for the second.
Also, what makes some gals react in a nasty way, could be the way the guy approached her, some guys have zero sense when it comes to manner of approach, no coordination or simplicity. they also feel the girl must respond to them, so i don't blame some girls.

When you get hit on alot, you tend to know when a hi is hi and a hi is girl, you look fly, gimme some of that  It's something about the tone, the posture, the delivery.
Not saying its true with all girls, some even if you hit on them from time immemorial to kingdom comethey have no clue. Others just presume/assume. . .
Sometimes, its just wrong timing that gets the guy a cold reception. . .

Dont know about other guys o, but i think most girls just have that annoyingly,cold reception by default.
Back when i was in the uni,i found out from my folks at home that a female cousin of mine was in the same univ wit me but in a diff dept. Did a little' research and finally got to pick her out without her knowing it. i walked up to her one day while she was waiting 4 her lecture to come to class, said hi and the next tin i got was "excuse me please i'm not in the mood"."mood for what" i asked her ,and she just walked away.i just turned my bak and walked away too. this happened a second time ,but this time i followed her into her class sat down beside her and before she could make any nasty comment i called her father's name, her place of origin and the rest of it.she asked me how i knew and that is when i told her who i was.alof a sudden she became in the MOOD. story change.
