By researches, i observes that most Nigerian/African ladies are not aware that there is any such thing as shaving the legs. It is remarkable that a razor has never touched the legs of the vast majority of Nigerian/African girls; And sometimes, it doesn't look nice to see Nigerian/African ladies in western countries standing in public with their legs covered with rasta hair. This is not meant for offence, but rather to bring the clear or deep perception of the situation of the matter; and i believe many people can learn from this observation. So, what do you think about this?

Please correct me if I'm wrong: but I believe it's the culture; having hair is a sign of being a woman - an adult. I grew up in america, so I shave (legs, underarm, bikini line) but my mother, aunts, and older nigerian woman don't believe i should do so. I have see Nigerian woman with chest hair proudly showing it off. When I went to Nigeria, I brought some shaving things and the young people my age, couldn't believe I shave hairs off my legs. When older woman saw that I don't have hairy legs, I was asked if I grew hair down there. One of my girlfriends didn't shave until she came to America and her mother also believe she shouldn't. It's a culture thing, my mother saw my aunt's belly, hair all around her stomach and she wants that. Maybe it's an age thing. I don't know.

I don't think it makes a difference. My ex used to have smooth hairs on her legs and i thot they were sexy. Never felt a need for her to shave. Its a matter of preference, a lot of people are too busy nitpicking on unecessary issues that they fail to see the woman on the inside.

i have hair on my legs but some what invisible. However, i just don't like to see some hairy legs women walking the roads looking like spiders. I think they can cream their legs and "smooth" the hair down. Oh well!!!

You have this opinion because you're apparently in Umuahia. But trust me, you'd reconsider your opinion if you happened to be in a western country and you have to face everyone staring astonishingly at you each day for reason of your hairy legs. Then, you wouldn't need anyone to advice you to shave off.

Hairy legs are subjective.
It all depends on the hair colour, and the lady's complexion. Some lady's have soft, downy hairs on their arms / legs, that are barely visible, some look light brown / blond-ish, depending on exposure to the sun. No problems there.
However, curly, crisp hair on a lady's legs doesn't appeal to me at all, especially if she's medium-to-light complexioned, and the curly-wurly's are dense and black. Waxing is definitely the best option here.
And did I hear someone mention hairy-chested ladies? Definitely not a turn-on for me.
Some men MAY find densely-haired ladies attractive, it's all about preference.
@ Vicjustice: What has being from Umuahia got to do with hairy legs? Hairy legs is no respecter of tribe, it all depends on the lady in question.
