Nairaland Book Of Proverbs
« on: April 29, 2008, 03:08 PM »

The Books of Proverbs was written by Solomom because of the wisdom God gave to him. Nevertheless, there is One that is greater than Solomon (Luke 11:31) who dwells in every spirit-filled believer. His name is Jesus Christ – the Power and Wisdom of God (1 Cor. 1:24)
Why not let's us as Christians dedicate this thread to scriptural wise sayings such that demonstrate God’s wisdom and divine inspiration.

Let me start with these 3;

- Man's way leads to a hopeless end, but God's way leads to an endless hope.
- Show me a man that carries God's presence; he can't carry problems at the same time.
- WARNING: Exposure to the Son can prevents from most severe burning!

Please let's also hear from you!

This is a great thread. Please I don't want anyone to change its focus. Am composing a lot of poems called Poems for the Thinking Man.. I may soon publish it. It is therefore incumbent on every Mus'lim that see them to comment on what should be improved for evaluation purposes.

I want this thread to be productive irrespective of our religion (Musl'im or Christians)

Thanks
Sadiq

detruth WORD!!! I almost thought that Muuslim freak was killing this thread. Bact to the main topic:

~One who is full of the words of God cannot be a fool
~Money is a defense so also is knowledge but the latter sustains the former and gives life to those who have it
~You can't make a difference if you don't see a difference. See it then Be it!

I once heard someone said:

There are two kinds of pains in life: pains of discipline and pains of regret. You can't just escape not passing through one!

That was a big one.

~ Don't indulge excessively in the pleasures of life, they only put you under undue pressure.
~ Why claim there is no God if you have not searched for Him?
~ God is good. No God no good. Where good is, there God is! If it is good, it must be God Wink

If you slap the prime minister, it is called an assault, but if you slap an ambassador, it is called an international incidence, because you have slapped a country. And that is what we are - "ambassadors for Christ" (2 Cor. 5:20)
