Saw it Sunday, it's absolutely amazing, arguably the best movie I've seen so far this year. I'm happy that Robert Downey Jr has been able to recover for his many drug problems and produce such a hit movie.

Iron Man tops UK box office chart
Robert Downey Jr has signed up for a sequel to Iron Man
Comic book adventure Iron Man has topped the UK and Ireland box office chart on its first week of release.
The film, based on the comic and starring Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow, made £5.4 million in its opening three days.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall dropped to second spot. It features Russell Brand as a sex-obssessed rock star.
Children's adventure story Nim's Island, with Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin, went in at number three.
Patrick Dempsey's Made of Honor debuted at number four, taking £750,000 between 2 and 4 May, with Jessica Alba's The Eye falling to number five.

"Iron Man" crushed the box office in its opening weekend, taking in more than $104 million. In second place was Patrick Dempsey's "Made of Honor," which earned $15.5 million.

LOS ANGELES - “Iron Man” was pure gold at the box office.
The Marvel Comics adaptation, starring Robert Downey Jr. as the guy in the metal suit, hauled in $100.7 million during its opening weekend and $104.2 million since debuting Thursday night, the second-best premiere ever for a nonsequel, according to studio estimates Sunday.
The film also scored overseas with $96.7 million in 57 countries where it began opening Wednesday, putting its worldwide total at $201 million.

I just saw Iron man,,, awesome I had to wait till i had time to see it on the big screen and it was worth the wait,,, OK so i went fully expecting to laugh at the ridiculousness of the whole idea,,, we had seen the trailer last yr and we cldnt reconcile the serious war story with a flying body suite,,, but darn it, it works and the sound tracks were amazing!!! I'm so pumped up on adrenaline i can't get to sleep |
