Cotonou Cars --- You take the risk of your Car being Impounded by Customs, either when its being Smuggled into Lagos, Or when u take a trip, in most cases Outside Lagos,
However, If You don't intend to travel Outside Lagos with your car, then you probably would have nothing to Lose, and could as well take the risk.
Cars Impounded by Nigerian Customs have a Very low chance of being retrieved and are hence Auctioned Off at extremely very Low ridiculous Prices.
However, With Nigerian Port Cleared Vehicles, you have the Peace of mind, and can travel anywhere in the Country without trepidations of being Impounded.
Fake Duty Certificates and Custom Documents are Fabricated for Cotonou Cars, to make more profit Concealing this fact from Unsuspecting potential Buyers.
Cotonou Cars are 100,000 - 400,000 Naira Cheaper than Nigerian Ports Cleared Cars, But the Risk Is higher, and it occurs mostly After Sales. You Either
Escape or Lose Your Car,
However, It is Possible to Buy a Car Legally from Cotonou, but most Agents don't usually pay the Nigerian Custom fee to maximize profit.
Conclusion is Except you have an agent you trust, it is better to buy Nigerian Port Cleared Vehicles, though they may be a bit Costlier, it gives 100% Peace of mind

Getting it in Cotonou, when you have it on full duty paid, you are safe of the risk of having it siezed.

Very correct, the car is less then 8yrs, so it need not be smuggled and there is no risk whatsoever.A friend got this same car(sparkling Clean with full options) last week from Cotonou.I am not going to say the price here so as not to spoil a brother's biz but make una dey pity us small with una PRICES.
