It is a legitimate question, mostly because of the portrayal by home videos. BUT, the answer is categorically NO ! My sister and my best friends are both successful bankers and they are decent Godfearing people. This is stereotyping!

oYaTo - IT IS stereotyping when you say female bankers are, and you don't say some or few or even most . What kind of overgeneralisation is that? Do not underestimate the power of this home videos o. Afterall who actually sees them prostituting themselves? It's all from them say them say or too much home video ! I insist.

It's a known fact. . . (a lady confessed a few posts back, not sure if she's joking sha) Check this outa close pal of mine called me up yesterday, sounding very downcast. . says he has to till end of next month to meet his target of N100million. . .(thot he was kiddin' until i heard d depair in his voice) dude was askin' me for any help i could offer, suggestin' that i help him talk 2 my bosses (dude sounded like his job was on d line). Now what do you think a girl would do? I'm not saying all would follow the "executive" route, but my dear, the loose and unscrupulous ones will, rather than beg like my poor guy friend is doin'.

Female Bankers: u mean people who sweated and toiled in school to achieve somethin. i have worked with several female bankers and i can attest to it that these people are professionals who go about their business like any other business person. if u av issue wt their dressing or their look, then check yourself, because they need 2 look professional. please stop this abuse of people who are out to give their best to their jobs. i can even add that their contribution to the organisation is even much more immense.

there is every element of truth. those in marketng are most vulnerable. a rich cousin of mine helps them to meet targets by connecting them with big boys with huge funds plus his own foreign investment accounts and i tell you, he gets his fill from them, for real. you know exactly what am talking about.
his most recent escapade was with two youth corpers marketing for their banks in lagos. they both knew each other but still took their turns with him. all they wanted to do was meet their target and have a chance of being retained. they both thought and said he was a very nice and generous guy. they both met their targets but eventually, only one of them was retained.
so what are we talking about here, !!!!

what I am saying is that because I was female she didnt have time for me eventhough I had money to set up various account s and she might of met her targets with my business. But she didn't want to know. However, when she realise the guys were with me she started to pay attention and come and see how she was breaking her neck to give business cards, anything I can do for you sirs etc. Did I see Business card oh no

@skyline what's d basis for you.r arguement? perhaps u.r boyfriend sef dey among d male bank marketers u're talkin' about. forgive me, i'm just pondering aloud While male bank marketers may indulge in such as u claim, na woman own plenty past ouna dey do am on a much more larger scale
and we all know how much a woman understands d language of money. . .
@OYaTo I just decided to reply your post now. Yes my Boyfriend is a Banker but not a marketer. The basis of my arguement is that issues especially wrong ones, shld not be narrowed down to the female gender alone. Such cases where both sexs are represented shld be generalised because both men and women work in the Banking sector.

why is it that we don t like hearing the truth.most of these bankers(female) are not just marketing their banks services but also theirs too.TARGET MUST BE MET.I can never work in a bank because i hate every thing about them.Their employees are being used,no capable union,no rest of mind,no time for your family.what kind of slavery is that.Sometimes i don't blame the female banker because they want to go extra mile in securing their job due to the economic condition of the nation.Fear a desperate lady for she can do anything to get what she wants.since there are lots of umemployed graduates hovering around for employment, they that feels that they are already employed does every possible and impossible thing to retain their work.National Assembly should do something about this banking issue, the way they use their employees.most marketers in the bank are females.WHY?WHY?WHY?There should be dignity in labour.

Most of the male posters here are motivated by infantile envy into making silly and wild generalizations. Even in the UK and US, you will find most counter staff at banks are women, so what's all this hype about? One reason why banking industry worldwide is dominated by women is because banking is a personal service industry and it is a scientific fact that women are better at human relations than most men. Even in the UK and America, its the same pattern. You'll find far more women on Wall Street than you'll find on the factory floor.
I'm not a banker. I've been approached several times by female bankers from Zenith, Oceanic. Fidelity and Diamond Bank in a most professional and decent manner to open accounts, invest in IPOs or to take advantage of their bank's investment services. If I had spare cash I was not using at the time or the offer was too good to miss, I was quite happy to open account for them. If I didn't have cash to spare, I'd politely tell them too bad. I have never been offered sex by a female banker and I have never asked for or demanded sex. I cannot speak for other banks but for these four banks, I KNOW for sure that they don't hire prostitutes. I personally know loads of female bankers in both professional and social settings and I know for sure that they are not prostitutes.
BTW, it may interest the ignorant, over-sexed males on this thread to know that male bankers also have targets.
