Do Maternity/paternity Leave Damage Employers?

Do labour laws damage employers?
In Kenya ,a new labour laws give three months paid maternity leave for women and male employees will also be given 14 days of paternity leave.

The laws also includes work injury benefits and insurance cover for all workers. Employers have rejected the new law arguing it is a huge financial burden for them
