Do labour laws damage employers? In Kenya ,a new labour laws give three months paid maternity leave for women and male employees will also be given 14 days of paternity leave.
The laws also includes work injury benefits and insurance cover for all workers. Employers have rejected the new law arguing it is a huge financial burden for them
If you're a new working mum in Africa what would you do?A: Stay at home and look after your child for four months with paid leave. B:Continue working or C Give up work. Do you understand the labour laws in your country?, Are you employer and do you find it difficult to enforce the labour laws ? have your labour rights being violated? Send us your views.

My office gives 6 months maternity leave with full pay and half pay after that and gives dads 1 month with full pay to dads,,,,
every company has a different policy with regards to this but the fact is maternity leave should be given or you'd be discriminating against married women with kids
