Exactly where are you going wrong? Okay, your code compiled, and you can't execute. what's the exact error? There are several Java related threads in this forum. See if any of those will help. If not, post the error you are getting and guys here will try to help. 

You said you have been taught Java, but you do not understand it. You do not understand anything or there are some certain things you have having problems with? I would also suggest you try to get beginners book on-line and start practicing with the examples etc. Firstly, make sure you environment is set up and you can compile and execute a Java program.  Again, search the forum or internet at large for answers. There is no point reapeating the same things that have been discussed to death in these forums.
