Lagos Traffic; What's Your Take?
« on: May 09, 2008, 02:31 PM »

Nothing could be more annoying than the long hours wasted by Lagosians on the road everyday. I spend two hours in the morning and three hours in the evening on the road every working day, shuttling between Agbado (my residence) and Okota (my office). What a waste of manhours. I think it's high time the authorities concerned woke up to their responsibilities.

It just plain sucks! It's just one of the many things that reduces the productivity of the average working Nigerian. After spending that much time commuting, how many hours is left to work and be productive, before it's time to head on back home. Until the basic infrastucture of power, water, good roads, etc.  are in place in that country, getting anything achieved will nto be easy.

It is only one of the many gifts from God to reward the people of their greed and wickedness.  All the cars with no roads to drive them in. Cheesy

So they have to sleep in traffic for days.  Then die of hypertension before age 60.
