sori bro, now d WHOLE section can see that opera can work on s40 phones, your problem is everyones problem bro, em em s hav this connectivity problem, sumtims u connect and u notice that ure connected but ure not receivin any packet from them, this is a trick to help u use em em s on your s40 phones, "Wish it was an s60 phone it wuld av been easier  " try to open BBC.co.uk, d site has a bookmark on your opera 4.1 home page, if u can open that site, den u are recievin packets, opera works wit all network packet connection, d problem is wit em em s, note: EM EM S dey fcuk up now ohhhhh. e no gree connect,  |

Ok, i read all through d post but nobody seem 2 knw d solution to the problem! Here is it:
1. The issue has to do wit celtel netwrk. If u disenable proxy(which is so wit nokia s40 phones, u can't enable proxy 4 apn settings) u wldnt be able to browse with celtel!
2. This is not so with mtn, if u notice, mtn sends 3 settings, MTN WAP(for u normal browser), MTN MMS(for mms) and MTN GPRS(for java connectn) so automatically if you set mtn as default, you would browse with your money.

3. So wit celtel mms or even wap u can't browse with nokia s40 phone because they dnt ve proxy enabled for apn settings, the good news however is that u can browse wit SE phones, infact i browse wit opera mini 4.0 with my em em s on k300i n k750i, so get any SE phone u would browse with OPERA! hope i answerd well!

Am in akure, celtel has proxy settings of course, ip addr:172.18.254.5, port no: 8080, but nokia s40 doesnt bring d proxy options for access point settings. Thats what am saying. In SE, You just select an internet connectn, mtn can load wit or witout proxy enabled, unlike celtel, proxy has to be enabled. Battery flat. Brb

Yea, i ve a frnd who uses nokia 6100(s40) he said he browses wit opera 3 but i ve not seen the phone or checked the settins because am currently in ekiti, i would get to akure by monday to confirm. Sorry i thought you asked if am based in akure, yes bt nt there currently

i'm akure based n jeez, on a s40 phone u hav a place to configure your proxy, just checked a gurlfrnds 6500 slide n helped her configure it, and jeeez i av browsed celtel on a 6030 before, when celtel gprs first came out,

use d opera, but 4 now celtel gprs service is down, when it comes up, if it givs u error keep tryin,
(NOTE if u v moni on your celtel like em N100, when u open opera, click bbc on d quick navigation menu, it wuld ask u if u want it to connect to the internet, say yes, den use celtel WAP to connect first ok, this is to tell u that u can browse wit celtel on an opera mini usin an s40 phone, d problem is with EM EM S)
