Blast From The Past:

Well, hello everyone.

I doubt if anyone here now remembers me or knows that I was ever an active member here. It really doesn't matter. I was probably one of the founding members of Nairaland in 2005. I am logging back in after such a long time,  3 years almost. I feel compelled to commend Seun, the website administrator and the moderators who are working together with him to make Nairaland what it is.

Seun, I am particularly posting this message in recognition of your contribution to my life. Immense contribution, I dare say. I'll cut the notoriously long story short. I met someone on Nairaland 3 years ago and was convinced he was the ONE!!! It involved a lot of traveling back and forth for both parties as the gentleman in question lived, and still does, to the best of my knowledge, in the States. Well, anyway, he most certainly was NOT the one! It thankfully took less than 6 months to realise that,  they were the most turbulent 6 months ever!!!

In a completely twisted yet fortunate stroke, I met, actually physically met in Las Vegas while on holiday someone else who had also at some point, now get this,  being registered on Nairaland! The most unlikely match ever on earth. We have been married now for close to a year! I am fully confident in saying that it is absolutely impossible for me to be happier with anyone else on earth or for him to have possibly had a better help mate or match. We have both added each other's families into our lives and those families have wonderfully accepted each other. We got married in Ibadan, where his father came down to ask for my hand in marriage from my wonderful mother.

It's a long story and I can only beg your forgiveness (anyone reading this) that I am unable to go into the full story here and now. But I'll give you something better, I will, provided I remember how, post a picture of us both ,  I'll also give you his user ID when he was a member for so brief a time.  He was, as evident from his few postings, and still is a terribly interesting person with a fantastic sense of humor. He is the most wonderful husband and the most adoring father!!!! His user Id? Trooper   He is right beside me as I type this and like me, is saying a big thank you to Seun for orchestrating, albeit unbeknown to him, our union!
