Natural Afro Is Super Cool!
« on: May 18, 2008, 11:39 AM »

I wish I could always leave it like this, but after two days, it becomes really hard to comb!
Well before I retouch, let me share the love for my hair with all of you!

The problem is the maintenance. There aren't nearby saloons either.

@ ibkaye
Yeah, i do that often because I have the (mis)fortune of having a very strong hair. For a some time I have been doing the relaxing part myself and always do braids later: my hair is becoming more voluminous!

@ iice
That's the problem. How would I maintain such a stubborn hair?

I have a medium afro, coloured light to medium brown (mixed in with my grey hair!) But I cheat and use a texturiser! It gives me lovely loose curls. Sometimes I use a curl activator and then use my hand dryer. Its soft and non-greasy. Sometimes I set it using pin rollers. It gives me big loose curls with a slight kink. Very retro and funky.
I gets tons of compliments about my hair so I think I'm done with perming. Thanks to my stylist, very creative guy, if a little annoying!
