Nigerian In Need Of Sierra Leone Passport.
« on: May 19, 2008, 01:26 PM »

Wonders shall never end,

The urge by most Nigerians to travel out of the country believing that Milk and honey are bountiful in European cities are increasing everyday. They engage in all sorts of acts just to survive over there in Europe not knowing that there is no place like home. But who is to blame===poverty rate is increasing daily, unemployment rate is skyrocketing as each day pass and thousands of graduates are poured into the system without provisions 4 them. So they are left with getting a visa at all cost and leaving the shores of this God blessed country Naija.

There is this Nigerian who I happened to meet last year @ Germany, he then relocated to Norway, seeked refuge there and married a white lady to get his papers. The white lady now have a child for the guy and the Norwegian authorities now want to issue him a temporary permit. That was good for him but he has a big problem!

When he seeked refuge in Norway, he instead of saying he was a Nigerian he claimed 2 be a Sierra leonian. He now requires a Sierra leonian passport but he was refused by the Sierra leoinian embassy in Norway based on the fact that he wasn't truly a Sierra leonian. He can't go back and tell the Norwegian authority that he is now a Nigerian thereby putting him in a fix, so he then called me narrating his ordeal asking if there is a way of getting the passport from Sierra leone. I was so confused as to what to tell him Undecided

I then decided to put up this topic to see how Nairalanders will suggest on ways we can help a fellow Nigerian.

Thank u all

Advice him not to dare getting a passport from the Sierra Leone while he's not there for the live shooting because, it will be seen as proxy passport which is considered a criminal offence punishable by imprisonment or deportation or both.
Perhaps he can obtain a Nigerian passport from the Nigerian Embassy in Oslo declaring that one of his parents is from the Sierra Leone, and also his own place of birth as "Freetown": He might just as well get a declaration-of-age from the Nigerian Embassy stating his "Freetown" place of birth. This could redeem his situation.

Dude,

He can actually get a travel document from the Norway authority on presentation of the refusal letter from the S/Leone Embassy.
He should know better, that non EU citizens that cannot get their national passport can get a Non Citizen travel document from their country of residence.

I'm afraid it won't work that way in the sense that the Sierra Leone embassy will have to issue a written report confirming that the man in question was refused a Sierra Leonian Passport for reason that he's a non- Sierraleonian, and that would jeopardise his entire chance of getting the rights to remain in Norway with the understanding that he gave false declaration during his political asylum case

First of all, the (so called) NSK passport has not been made known to any immigration officers i called the Irish immigration authority, but they advised that they don't know any such thing as the NSK passport, they asked for the full meaning.
Secondly, i don't think any European country would participate in any such passport organisation because they definitely do not need it; therefore, their claims that EU countries participate in it is a lie, this alone is enough reason to doubt its credibility.
A third reason, any internet deal that demands a QUICK payment to get benefit is usually a SCAM.
Fourth, Ukraine is one of the poorest countries in Europe over, its national passport gets no where without visa, therefore, an "NSK" passport organised in Slovenia-affiliated to Ukraine can not have such value as they claims.
Fifth thought, why are there no restrictions on those who would apply for it, it seems everyone can apply for it with just E200?
If it's a good thing, i don't think it would get to you so easily.
Sixth observation, No good thing (especially travel documents) comes so easy, if the so called (NSK) passport is credible, everybody would go for it and you might not be this fortunate
What is the full meaning of NSK, have you questioned the origin of the passport?
Seventh consideration: What are the aims and objectives of the introduction of the NSK passport?
Lastly, The picture of the stamp and passports in a pile is simply a temptation: the organisation (or whatever) has conflicting information on its home pages about the date that the the NSK was established, and also it does it have its own internet server: imagine such an organisation that claims to be authentic using an email address like: nskembassyukr@gmail.com It should NOT have been "@gmail.com" it should be something like @nskembassy.ukr
Besides, it more or less a cult similar to the KKK, therefore, it can't be an ideal solution. . . Check it out on tis link:

                                          http://www.nskstate.com/state/index.php

Mind you, if it's a credible thing that has genuine purpose, it wouldn't have been so easy for one to qualify for. Period
Therefore, pardon me to express my opinion that it's a big time joke. Period

Vicjustice,
Yes,since the guy in question have no document to proof his nationality,he will certainly be refused a National passport from any embassy of any country including Nigeria.
It will do no harm submitting a refusal  letter from the S/Leone embassy. That is accordance with the Geneva convention on the status of stateless persons-

Article 28. - Travel documents

The Contracting States shall issue to stateless persons lawfully staying in their territory travel documents for the purpose of travel outside their territory, unless compelling reasons of national security or public order otherwise require, and the provisions of the schedule to this Convention shall apply with respect to such documents. The Contracting States may issue such a travel document to any other stateless person in their territory; they shall in particular give sympathetic consideration to the issue of such a travel document to stateless persons in their territory who are unable to obtain a travel document from the country of their lawful residence.

Your point is absolutely meaningful and credible. But remember that western countries rarely give the UN (Geneva Convention Travel Documents) passport to asylum seekers, especially now-a-days.
Also, if they would grant the guy in question the UN passport, he wouldn't have needed to "marry and give birth to a Norwegian citizen" in order to get a residence permit.
So in a situation whereby the Norwegian authority is reluctant to issue the travel document, it's his best bet to go for the Nigerian passport: He, being a real Nigerian citizen must definitely have many ways to prove so to the Nigerian embassy.
An authenticated letter from his local government area in Nigeria in more than enough prove

@Poster,

U guys should know that European authorities and their intelligence are superb.
With a post like this and the authorities comes across this, the Nigeria guy in question is finished.
I believe the guy should sort himself out & this thread should either be deleted or thrown into the trash.
