There's this new movie by Jackie Chan . . . Forbidden Kingdom,

Can't wait for it to be out in cinemas (April 18th I think). It's just going to be SOLID!!!

I'm a huge fan of Jackie. I think Jet Li is in it too.

Here's a trailer on it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hE7ny2bfXF0

The Bank Job! Shocked

I give that 4****

The only problem is that na London Tube Stations them act the movie.  So I will subtract one star for all that "cockney" rubbish and lousy, dreary ambience and fashion sense.  Wor wor people! Grin  I loved seeing that "Totttingham Court" road sign again with nostalgic feelings! Wink

But on the good side, I left very satisfied.  I love the "nudity" to show say those stiff upper lipped Londoners are just as wild and raunchy as "we" Americans.  Them no get shame at all to show bobby and stuff for screen.

I love the fact that politics all over the world is all about "sex, lies and videotapes"! Politicians stink all over the worldincluding London! Cheesy

The violent content was shocking and entertaining enough to keep you interested in the movie.  When one lady was beheaded swiftlyI had to jump out of the theatre for a "hot piss"! Grin

The best part was to see how mature people handled infidelity. . . the reason I love Oyinbo people. . . no pretence at all. The powers of forgiveness and love.  My kind of thing. Cool You can never destroy what is real or meant to be.

I loved the way the movie ended. . . all got what they deserved.  It left me feeling I did not spend $50 for nothing like that stupid "Vantage Point"! Kiss

Saw Vantage Point yesterday and I was quite disappointed. . .
The director obviously spent more time on the grand concept of the different story angles than the actual story. . The real story lacked depth. . .
and i found a flaw in one of the story angles. . . the story from Matthew Fox's point of view. .thats Kent

In the original view, thats from the TV crew, 2 shots were fired at the President, then he goes down. , then Dennis Quaid launches at Kent and starts barging him with questions and the bomb went off. .
But in Forest Withacker's view, Dennis Quaid was with him using the camcoder to zoom into the room where the bullets came from, then the bomb went off. .
So where was Quaid when the bomb went off. . .??

Mite be wrong though, because i was dozing off while watchin Grin Grin

Good car chasing at the end though, but they spent so much time on the concept and neglected the story, which I think is the movie. .

Lies? Huh

J-K,
I liked how it was shot, the different story angles, same thing they see but with each person's angle, you get a li'l more about what is happening. . .
Then it crashesand all i could say was, so that's all?

Forrest Whittaker was terrible in the movie (Vantage Pioint). Ugh. They tried so hard to make it some whiny sympathetic movie with the foolish little girl walking into traffic and Forrest whing like a lunatic abut his family. Blah give me a break!

Revolver is better than Bank Job

although Bank Job wasnt bad but it focused too much on the women and frankly if it were up to me, women wouldnt exist in movies esp if their only role is to serve as the "sex kitten". Now roles like Pam grier in Jackie Brown or Uma in Kill Bill are fine and you don't get those often

Lmao iice, anytime I go on my "women should be removed from movies' rant, guys stare at me like I'm insane, gues sthey need their eyecandy, whatever. Of course I have nothing against females as I am one but alot of time their roles are so bloody unnecessary

In Snatch, there was just ONE woman really and that was Brad Puitt's mom and she served a purpose. Take Departed, was that stupid tart Leo was sleeping with necessary to the story, um no. Same with Jennifer Connelly's character in Blood Diamond, I can go on and on, but i wont, for now  Tongue

anyway yea Bank Job was pretty entertaining but I still think Revolver was better even though Snatch still remains as my fav Jason Statham movie  Wink

@iice
the story angles was the only good thing about Vantage point. and it is not even original. The same different story angles stuff was used in Snake Eyes with Nicholas Cage and it was a better movie. .

@reloaded
i tot i was the only one that saw Forest Withacker's plea for pity. . .
it was just annoying. he then had to call his family after the president was shot!!!!!!!!!! what for?
and wats up with the girl's ice cream? Grin Grin Cheesy

and i agree with u on the women and movies stuff. . .
especially with Monster Ball in mind. .  Wink

anti-sexist crusaders have to be appeased. im sure even hollywood has them.

but are they as unnecessary as,say, the token black character? anti-racist crusaders have to be appeased, and hollywood DOES have them. even period dramas now must feature at least ONE negro. then again theres the worst black, the COMIC RELIEF (mike epps in resident evil, anyone?).

but the worst injustice was the hacker in Transformers (or General Motors: The Movie  Grin) Anthony Anderson. it was an injustice to bot hackers AND negroes.  Grin. talk about miscast and overcast. haba!

vantage point is vantage point-less. the same scene rewinded and seen from multiple angles multiple times makes for a pretty nauseous viewing. some DVD movies come with multiangle choices. hit a button on the clicker and BOOM, a different vantage point.

works great for porn, dire for action movies.
