@4Her
I had a few laffs but for the most part it annoyed me.

Watched

The Great Debate,
loved it, evrything bout it
except for the 14yr olds face.

Stardust
i watched this movie for three days.
Gosh.
i didnt like that Tristan guy until he put in extnsions
nd Claire Danes is not fine enough for my screen oh!
i didnt like that Robert De Niro was a cross dresser

This was one of the movies in which i actually wanted the
villains to win, i wanted the witches to have their beauty potion
they were so UGLY!!!!

i liked the end result though.

The Bee Movie
hmm, cool lines i must say.

Narnia, is next on me list!

Can we review movies that left bad taste in our mouths?

If the answer is yes, I'll say  THE RETURN OF BEYOUNCE (feat: Van Vicker, Jackie Appiah and co.) is a total waste of money and precious time.

let me save you guys $10,
wait for the DVD of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull  .
 -Below average storyline/plot
-Sometimes funny but not engaging/exciting action scenes
 -Very predictable

My guy is an indiana jones fanatic n had been counting down the days to the premiere and he fell asleep during the movie! Smiley
it almost seemed like the producers didn't put in enough effort to come up with a good plot, it seemed to me they were relying on the past history and success of the Indy Jones series to bolster up this new entry. I give it a 5 of 10. If this had been just another movie (without the indiana jones history) it woulda flopped n sputtered out of theatres.

watched Untraceable yesterday starring Diane Lane, I have seen many of its kind. It started slow, picked up a bit half way through and then it finished way too quick, on scale of 1-10 I give it a 5.

Has anyone seen Semi-pro? I saw it last night and could not stop laughing, its a classic, Will ferrel is a genius, in fact, he is the greatest comedic actor of our age, whatever the guy touches always seems to turn to gold. Plus the guy seems to be a great guy, he didn't forget some of his co-stars from Saturday Night Live and he keeps inviting them to play roles in his movies.

I saw "The Eye" with Jessica Alba last night and it was pretty creepy, but was a cool movie though and it did make sense unlike a lot of horror movies out there.

The Incredible Hulk - starring Edward Norton: 7.5 of 10. Good enough to go see at the cinema.

I was an original fan of the first Hulk movie starring Eric Bana from a couple years ago so I was a little angry he was replaced with the skinny lanky Ed Norton but he did a good job with the role.

 Thumbs up:
-Good action/fight scenes
-Genuinely funny moments
-Realistic (for lack of a better word) looking hulk
-Cameo by Lou Ferrigno - actor from the hulk series

 Thumbs down:
-The first half of the movie is better than the second, it kind of loses it "thrillability"
-The ending scenes were so shamelessly setting up for a sequel it was ridiculous
-Way too many loose ends that open the door for part 2 but yet did not do a good job of closing out pt 1
-Story-line was predictable

I watched "Knocked up" and it was the worst comedy i've ever watched, it was so unfunny (if there is ever a word like that) and boring, all they were doing was swearing and cursing and swearing, i can't believe i just wasted over 2 hours of my precious life watching that, what a shame a good 2 1/2 hours i would never get back again.
WARNING: For those of you who want to marry Oyinbo, you better watch the movie and understand why in yanki, 50% (60%in some estimates) of there marriages end up in divorce. See how the wife (Debbie) was mistreating and disrespecting the husband, now i wonder why O.J Simpson killed his wife  Grin. Abeg o, my fellow Nigerians make una no marry oyinbo o, if you like yourself  you better just go and chill with your  African queen or you will find yourself single at age 40 (ouch!  Grin  Grin).

Another so-not-funny comedy i watched was "The Return of the Zohan" that was just horrible. I know it was supposed to make fun of Israeli people and some of there culture (like there love of disco) or mannerisms but i just couldn't get it.

OK. Watched the Oxford Murders last night. That movie was ok, but I knew who was going to be the murder. I'm a forensic freak, so it was pretty easy to figure it out.

Great scene n actingloved it! And to top it, the dude was hot! Grin

The director wasn't trying to hide the identity of the murderer because it was easy to guess from the start,. . The twist was the way the Prof tried to hide the identityand how he manipulated everybody. .
Real nice. . . . Grin

and I loved the dialogueTwas beautiful. .
especially the part at the lecture where he tried to counter the Prof's view about Logic, truth and reality. .
beautiful stuff. . . Grin

Yea, I really enjoyed that movie. . thanks for putting it up here. If you know any "mysterious" movies like that, let me know!  Wink

At first I thought it was the old woman's daughter that's doing all the crime, but when it got to bus accident and the prof started acting funny, I knew it was him!! for surebut I dnt like the ending. I mean, did the prof N the woman get away, with their crime?

Re: Review Any Movie
« #569 on: June 23, 2008, 05:32 PM »

the prof didn't  commit any crimereally. .
there was only one murder and that was the firstthe other ones where "murders that were really not murders" Grin

He created fake instances of murders to take the attention off the real killer. .

so the prof didnt kill anyone. only the girl did. .
and I guess she walked. . because nothing was said about her again. .

to me the end was the most beautiful part. .
everyone was guilty in some way, the girl, the prof and the dude. .  Grin

Martin was guilty in a way. .  He incited Beth to kill the poor woman.
Remember at the beginning when he came back from playing squash with the nurse, Beth asked him why he was so happy, he said. , "Go with the flow. Be happy. I'ld rather try to be happy than live a life void of it" (something like that). . .
and the woman was the reason behind Beth's unhappiness, so she took her out of the way so she could be happy. .

so indirectly, Martin started the whole killing. . . Grin

and remember the Prof's words. . . a butterfly that flutters its wings causes a hurricane on the other side of the world. .
meaning, Martin's innocent comment triggered off a murder. . .
