« #589 on: June 26, 2008, 03:06 PM »

i didnt watch Prom night, my friends seemed to like it.
im just saying a horror movie must be REALLY SCARY to get me to watch it
if not, wats the point.
i tried watching Texas chainsaw massacre the next, i didnt get it.

Narnia, it isnt yet showing at the cinemas, i have to wait.
i don't think its "childish" look at the underlying meanings to it,
embrace the details put into the creation of the movies and you may just find
yourself loving it.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, i love Robert downey jr but it didnt prevent me from nodding

You want something scary??
I totally recommend Hostel 2.
Very bloody and the horror was detailed.!!
Produced by Quentin Tarantino so you can be sure of its level of gore. .

Narnia? OK. Mite just move it up my list. and see it on a day i'm in the mood for anything. . . .just anything.
and that rarely happens Grin

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang? yeah. .  Grin Grin

LOL j-k yeah.  That is more my genre Cheesy
Actually the second one is better than the first.  More fight scenes, darker (which is how i like them).  . but then again, the 3rd is going to be darker than the 2nd.  The character's have grown into themselves.  First time, Edward was annoying, this time it was Peter who was annoying but Caspian was the best Cheesy Tongue

Finally saw Incredible Hulk.
Hulk smash!! now this was what them Superman returns' people should have done! Give the hero (ok technically he's not a hero but whatever) a worthy villian. (ok not that Luther is not worthy but i was thinking doomsday or Darkseid)
Tim Roth and William Hurt have always rocked, so no surprise they did it again here.
So many great scenes and the final fight was awesome.  The CGI is great, though am getting a bit tired of all the CGI things these days (Can't wait for Batman).  Hah @ cameo of Stark.  I predict an Avengers movie coming soon lol. duhhh

I read the Narnia books along with Enid Blyton as a kid, and watched the BBC narnia series as well. I was so surprised Disney decided to make the first movie and even more surprised they did Prince Caspian. So anyway I'll collect both ( I already have the first one).

I always felt it would be difficult to do justice to the books, in a movie. They did try with the first one, though it could have been shorter. Pretty impressive, however.

The first Incredible Hulk movie didnt quite measure up to the tv series, in my opinion.
This one may be better, since most of the reviews have been positive ones.
But why are the Hulks looking more and more inhuman? Huh The one in the tv series looked somewhat "softer" than these CGI hulks, if you know what I mean. I'll try to catch this new one though.

Currently watching Doctor Zhivago (piecemeal). I want to see why its considered an all-time classic.

J-K yeah had to seen before they start clearing the cinema making way for wanted, hell boy, hancock and Batman.  Oh it wayyyyy better than the first one.  I guess that is what you get when you have Ed Norton tweaking the script n stuffs.  There are great scenes in this one.  Got one problem though but it's all good.  Wanted is actually showing now but i'll prolly see it 2mrw or so.  I've loved McAvoy every since Wimbledon besides i want to see what the director did since am a big fan of his daywatch/nightwatch movies

yes holier than thou, judgmental

Just don't see someone like you enjoying such a movie. You'll just end up being offended and judging the lives of the woman thus making the movie a bad experience for you. Just telling it like it is, dear

I'm half and half on Wanted, the fact that they have a dork like McAvoy in it kind of turns me off. I don't know. I got a free ticket from my AMC membership so maybe i'll use it on that

I read reviews but  I don't base my judgements on them. . They are very confusing sometimes. .
Saw SATC last week. . .
was forced to see it actually. .and it was punishment because I had to sit for over 2 hours watching some women. . . Wink

waiting to see Wanted. .
and I would enjoy it McAvoy or no McAvoy. .
and TOH, whats your issue with the dude?

IIce

I perfer the series to the movie. I think they made the movie a bit childish. I mean the only the only time you really saw Charlotte was when she was squealing over each of Samntha's arrivals
The fact that BIG had to act like a crybaby and not let C her day turned me off completely. After 10 bloody years, he couldnt just accept her stuff for an hr? Abegi

then Password is LOVE? Ugh gag me with a spoon  Angry

I did like Smith and Sam's story but I felt they kind of tried to make Smith an asshole (blaise reaction to the sushi situation) as a way to justify Sam's decision in the end and I didnt think that was necessary.

All in all I give it a B-.  Wink
