MODULE 1
· Re-introduction to the basics of fluid flow in circular conduits, pipes, fittings and components.
· Introduction to 3-Dimensional Computer Aided Design using PDMS.
· Pipe design and production of piping GA(s) using PDMS.
· Equipment Design with PDMS.
· Production of pipe isometrics and generation of Material Take-off reports.
· Drawing out-put with PDMS and exporting to AUTOCAD.
MODULE 2
· What is Pipe stress and analysis?
· Purpose of stress analysis?
· How piping and components fail when "over-stressed".
· Stress analysis using CAESAR II with respect to process plant requirement (ASME B31.3)
· Analysis based on piping flexibility, support and restraint location and design, stress containment etc.
· Interpretation of Stress Analysis results – Load Cases in the Operating Condition, Sustained Condition and Occasional Condition.
· Introduction to Piping Dynamic Stress analysis with respect to water hammer, relief valve firing, fluid pulsations, acoustics and seismic effects.

· The training would be intensive; no refreshments provided and would span 9-12 am for the morning session and a 1-4pm for the afternoon session.
· Participants would be required to come with their Laptops (XP or VISTA),(Participants without Laptops should specify)
· The training allows for free copies of ASME codes, relevant manuals, relevant Piping Texts and relevant software.
· Some proficiency of Engineering Design is assumed, as our training schedule cannot accommodate laxity in that regard.
