hello .Please i don't know how to post things here.i just registered few days ago.But i want you to help me out.I want to apply for canada visiting visa.i am a student in Nigeria and i have an invitation letter and hotel booking to attend a conference coming up in Canada.
I have been to Russia before for a study programme and i am back in the country with there permit that will expire by October 2008 and i also have German 6 days visa on my passport but i didnt go to germany and i have been refused UK on my passport as well
I will like to know if i stand a chance of getting the Canada visa because i am in my final year in school and what documents can i use in applying. and the amount to be on the bank statement because i used 900k bank statement balance of my uncle to get the germany visa.i am 25 years old and am still single, Hope to read back.Urgent

Sorry for the late reply. . . didn't come across your thread till now.
What is the exact nature of the conference and the duration? Is it in your field of study and can you show the tangible benefits attending such a conference will have in your career/education? It would also be a good idea to have some evidence of registration if possible, to make your application more genuine.
I really don't know what effect the rejected UK application or the unused German visa will have, but I'D say apply all the same - go to the High Commission to get the current list of required documents before applying and the timelines involved.

. . . . .And in addition, get a recent letter from your school indicating what year you are enrolled in, what programme you are studying. If possible, obtain a copy of your transcripts as additional documents also.
