Fellow nairalanders please don't waste your energy on this RSA guy posting trash here, he is yearning for attention, these SA folks feel so inadequate so they use any available means to get noticed. Folks just ignore his postings and he would stop. On a serious note we need to deliver our brothers and sisters in South Africa they have an identity crisis, they hate being black and they can't be accepted by the Caucasians. I suggest that Steve Biko's black consciousness ideologies be taught in all their schools. Its a shame that 14 years after the fall of apartheid they are still in chains, Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery Mzanzi.

I accept that we lost,we didn't play our best team since we are experimenting, lot of our players played out of their positions and it look like they did not take this game seriously(maybe they were compansating nigeria for all the shoe repair and stolen cellphone shops they lost during xenophobic attacks).but having said that Nigeria is beatable, there was nothing special about them.We have a second leg in Pretoria,Attregeville. So we will see.Look as for your pidgin English? I thank channel 114,not everything Nigeria is bad after all.

U got that right,Taxepette now that we are all friends, what do you think of RSA football?where do you think we are lacking and can be improved?I and most of my countrymen are really big fans of Nigerian football. There are lot of people who have named their kids siasia, okocha, yekini in respect of nigerian team of the 90's.I am not talking of exelence, innocent, suprice and terror .Look we have always had respect for Nigerians, for what they have achived.even though sometime they tend to take themself too seriously. One friend of mine who is from Kenya said South African are too ignorant and Nigerians are too proud, maybe he was right. But through football we can unite.I am Arsenal fan because of kolo, adebayor, ebue,I am also chelsea fan because of obi, essien, kalou, drogba and makelele, and also a fan of everton because yakubu, yobo, anichebe and pienaar,i also support porthmouth cause of king kanu, diarra, babadiop, utaka(what a car) you see my loyalty will always be with my brothers irrespective of our difference. Peace.

nice one RSA. I like ur spirit. . .
i really cannot place the reason why the South African footie has fallen to an abysmal level. Remember u guys won the Nations cup in 1996 .(because we didnt participate) and i actually was of the opinion then that SA will emerge as another football powerhouse. But, ive been proved wrong.
First off, der came the issue of foreign stars not honouring calls to dorn the bafana bafana colours. i think a lotta internal crisis with the FA, appointing a local coach and a whole lotta factors contributed to the decline in the standard of footie in SA
i still do not want to believe all these should lead to what we are seeing now because you guys have got a superb league. Orlando Pirates once won the African champions league and of course even some of our super eagles once played for clubs like Orlando pirates, mame lodi sundows and even Kaizer Chiefs.
I think Perreira should be given a very long time to instill the winning mentality to the new players coming up. Technically, u guys might be off the radar, but with a world class coach like Perreira, things might shape up a little bit.
all said and done, no matter the coaching, u guys cannot beat our Eagles. never!!!
Can you remember the serious beatings we've dealt you guys? 4-0 (world cup qualifier in Lagos), 4-0( Nations cup game) and just yesterday 2-0 again that makes it 10-0 we are ur papa!!! lmao!!
PS: why do u always fall at the wrong side? now ure a Gaynner. u must be used to losing

TKB,I agree with you 100%,lot still need to be done, maybe this worldcup will do some good in turning our fortunes around. There's another record that nobody mention, Super Eagle still need to win a match in RSA, On a serious note I think most of our problems is lack of interest in African competitions which in turn deprive us of international experience, local teams prefer their league than playing in Africa, obviously this is as a result of being isolated for so long,South Africans like their own things.KaiserChiefs have more supporters than Bafana,Bafana play in a halfempty stadia whereas chiefs fill their stadia every time.We have a very different mentality to the rest of the continent. And again our players prefers local league than going to hassle abroad, if they go abroad they tend to come back they give up easily especially in the smaller country like Sweden,Belgium, turkey,Israel because salaries there are almost the same as our league.Highest paid player in south Africa earn just over 500 000 US dollars a year including endorsements. In Nigerian guys like Yakubu started in Israel,Utaka started in belgium and many other players started in small countries to be where they are today. As a south african I can only hope that we get it right before the world cup.

RSA i hope you have been thougth the lesson of your lyf? that you don't have to under-rate Nigeria when it comes to football, hum?
I thougth you will be singing and dancing after the 2-0 lost of South Africa in ABJ- Naija, Believe me or not, as far as football is concerned, south Africa will always bow before the super Eagles of Nigeria. Yes i can say that Again and again
when next u c the green white green or here THE SUPER EAGLES just look up and pretend u where look up the sky.
PEACE TO YOU! TAKE HEART, that IS FOOTBALL for you, DON'T UNDER-RATE EVEN THE SMALLEST TEAMS IN SOCCER. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN,

We learning fast son,but Nigeria also must do something to keep the distance, the current crop of your players are good but not great.Currently who is the superpower of african football?first countries that come into my mind is egypt, ghana, ivorycoast, cameroon, tunisia and nigeria you see,a nation like Naija cannot be outsite top five.African football is improving and fast, last worldcup Angola qualified ahead of you,2010 equetorial guinue might qualify for the world cup you never know.
