@ region, Fupre is not offering any engineering program for this semester. You have to change your course to the following science course: Chemistry, Industrial chemistry, Envromental science, Geology, Geophysics, Mathematics, computer science & physics, You better go and change your course

Hey brb. Tanx for D Info. Bt am nt sure u are correct. Cos, the courses are in the brochure. If they are not prepared for it, they wouldn't have droped it there. Are you already in the school? I know it was in the brochure but they advertised in the news papper that dey'll not offer any engineering course for this new session. Am neither an undergraduate in the sch nor a prospective student.

@electroguru am sure the ad u read was for 2007/2008 session. When the school jst newly admitted it first set. Then they were yet to be in the jamb brochure. Don't let us complicate things. Besides, What was d date on the paper u read? I so much believe that the school is ready to kick off with it's engeenering courses this next session (08/09). I got these info, frm a reliable source. @ ogefere, read d post well, You have to change your course to one d science courses I mentioned above . Fupre is not running any enginern program for 08/09 session

@Ogefere, i don't understand oh! If fupre is nt doing engineering. Y dey enta brochure? I 4 put uniben na. What sort of mess is this? Well am yet to confirm. Bt as soon as am done i would get in touch. Besides 100L For school nobi engineering direct na. They can start with sumtin nd leta fix us into our main engineering courses. Abi? To start with, does anyone know what FUPRE website is? And about this change of course thing, what is the timeline? Make person answer me here before I go crazy Oh!  Anyway, I took them as 2nd choice. Hope still they. |

Ok, we'll be waiting for feedback. But i don't expect them to start any eng program this session because they are new & even a Fed Uni of Tech. I av never seen any uni of tech that starts eng courses immediately after their commencemnt. They need infrastructure, professors, well equiped workshop & good instructors. Where are they going to get the money from? F.G . Do u think FG is ready to give any sch millions of Naira? So they av to start from sciences & other faculty to get money & later raise fund tru other means e.g from goverment & private companies

@electroguru, forget about fupre being new, they would be sharing resources, equipments and infrastructures. With old time petroluem training institute effurun(PTI). Which we all know, have been on for long, and done many engineering programs in recent times. Besides fupre student would be using pti hostels. I know everything is a gradual process. Bt if the school is nt prepared for eng program. They would surely start one day. It's not our mistake is their's. Apart from u, who else read that so-called papper u claim to have read. Well am not changing my course yet, let them(FUPRE) correct their mistake. themselves.

hi everyone. I chose FUPRE as my second choice but my Jamb result is not ok. please can somebody tell me the cutoff mark to qualify for the school because my jamb score is 180 and are they accepting second choice and also when is their entry exam. thanx

@electroguru u want make i panic, bt i no fear notin. @bell32 the school is a new school, and i don't think post ume would be frm 200. What course did u put in for? As for post ume date, we don't know yet. Datz why this thread is on to keep u updated so u don't miss out. You're welcome!

I knw it must be 07/08. You knw what I'll say? Wait for Fupre till nxt session when dey go start eng just because of u. Yeye boy, u better go do any course them go give u this session instead of sleepn at home.
@ bell, its over for u this yr because Fupre only accept 200 last yr for P/UME. So how will dey accept 199 talkless of 186. Go write PCE or wait for nxt yr UME

I don't knw about that. Either 1st choice or 2nd choice, u'll all have d opportunity of writing the PostUme but d difference is that 2nd choice usu av very high cutoff mark compared to 1st choice, so this will reduce d addmsn of stud that choose them as 2nd choice. Moreso, there also a seperate list for 2nd choice but wit d help of God firstly, & money, everytin ll go smooth even beyond your expectatn. So never say Die
