Its part of the culture not to show weakness as a man. Being touchy-feely, showing emotions before a woman, saying "i love you" are attributed to being emotionally weak. Much preferable to behave like you couldnt care less even though on the inside u're dying to just let out a little tear out of love. Hey, get used to it.
