Do You Have A Forum?
« on: June 05, 2008, 02:23 PM »

If you are a Forum owner or Webmaster then let’s share tips on how to increase traffic on our forums and also make our forums a better community.

Also would like to ask that how can I put Google Ads on my forum.

I would also appreciate your comments on my new forum.

http:///index.php

Thanks very much.

Cheers!

hey buddy
 I just hosted www.afrostartups.com , and I am also in the marketing process, if you visit www.pluggd.in and indian startups blog, there are some good tips on how to market your site or better yet on www.afrostartups.com , there are some nice tips I wrote there that can give you free marketing.
  for forum software I prefer minibb due to its slick design and interface and how easy it is to customise, in terms of design and business logic.

PHISHING site will attempt to criminally and fraudulently acquire sensitive information, such as credit card details and  passwords, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. PayPal, eBay and online banks are common targets. Phishing is typically carried out by e-mail or instant messaging.

I have upto date security installation on my system and have never be prompted for anything while visiting http://hopenigeria.com and have not been requested for any sensitive information there since I know the site. Are you requested for any? Check link you take to the site.

Let us be fair in our comments

@olubiz
Go look detail PHISHING - wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phishing, he copied and pasted incomplete info about phishing!

@topic
Today, i re-visited the following site, http://hopenigeria.com. Now it HAS NO LONGER PROMPTED A WARNING SIGN---phishing from my installed McAfee Site Advisor (anti-phish sites/email/I'm, any harms on the internet).

I believe the forum adminstrator/webmaster HAS BEEN DELETE  the hidden phishing code off his site.

@josyisback

You use different forum installed, MyB; therefore, you must use your MyBB site to obtain your MyBB mods at provided link below:

http://mods.mybboard.net/

Secondly, i could not access your forum, joscityweb.com because my browser has detected to block the popup JAVA ADVERTISEMENT files in order to prevent from skepitcal of virus/phishing infected on my system.

Very slow loading your forum site to be completely to view that is why i lost interesting in patience!!!

I hate JAVA SPYWARE/AD AWARE popup to my browser. That's why my browser's built-in popup blocker by Google and Yahoo toolbar to reject any JAVA popup Advertisements.

Ok freelance ,

I will help you out with ad mod problems.
I am also going to help in any kind of settings from the admin panel.
To make the ad management appear under configuration,
you will have to manually edit some files.
The package parser didnt cover that especially if you are using a custom theme,
The smfads website you were referred to seems to have been abandoned .
I tried to get solutions there sometime ago but didnt.
I had to create a test forum and work on it until i get what i wanted.
I suggest you do the same. don't fiddle much with your main forum.
I am going to create a childboard under webmaster board on my forum now and stick it.
It will be a special thread to solve SMF problems for people the best way i can.

I will be answering your questions faster there than anywhere else.
