Pirates! Is This A New Tactic Of Selling?
« on: June 06, 2008, 03:20 PM »

hey peeps!how y'all doing.tot it would b nice 2 share this.was on my way home some days back.stopped at the b/stop 2 pik up one or 2 tins.then i saw this bus loaded with audio and video c.ds of naija acts.i called one of the sales boy and asked who gave them the franchise to market these c.ds.he said they were indie marketers.9ice,p-square,style plus had their works on display.then i said 2 him, afro best is suppose 2 be the main mrketer;how come u guys are the ones selling.he cud not giv an answer.all he said was that their manager was in the bus.with a briefcase in hand,he must have bin xpecting some kool cash.then i left him.next day,i saw the same thing but this time,it was around ketu/ojota.i was on the express and as such cud not pull ova.the crux of the mata is,are these guys pirates takin their game to the next level or is it a new mkting structure.what beats my imagination is that the price is quite cheap.100 bucks or less for audio works and 150 or less  for video  wrks.plz anyone with useful info should let me know.its all for the good of the industry.its all good.

I don't think it just started
If anyone knows that T-joe guy, that markets 70% of Nigerian albums
The guy was a big-time pirate before he teamed with 2-shot and see how good the deal turned out.

I don't think there's anything wrong in going mutualistic with these guys
I think it should be encouraged
