Sexual harassment is often publicly and legally condemned in western countries and most western countries have laws that protect women. In Nigeria we do not have such laws, therefore , does it mean that NIGERIAN WOMEN DO NOT SUFFER FROM SEXUAL HARASSMENT? please i welcome meaningful contributions and personal experiences.
Thanks

@post Look, even those countries with their so called laws, also have women that suffer from harassment. . .
Naija women are just so unfortunate that their thieving governments dnt know how to protect its citizen.
Is there even laws to protect women from their abusive husband?

yes it happens and its a real big thing but as usual in that kind of society women have no voices. talk about Rape. peodophilia and more. everyone suffers from something in that country, particulary vulnerable people and nothing is done.
i doubt if rape is even seen as a crime in some cases. yes! Nigerian women suffer sexual harrasment but noone is there to be their voice because as usual everyone is going to see it as something shameful to talk about.

How can a grown man ask a girl in school uniform if he should come and visit her in school? How can you go to the market (Tejuosho market to be precise) and you see men gripping your hand and dragging you to their irritating bodies even hugging you to your disgust in broad daylight? Just a few herecan't remember the rest scenerios.

maybe you men should control your "snakes" Abi na the women dey cause sexual harrassment sef yOU KNOW HOW HOT NAIJA ISMOST OF THEM WEAR THE CLOTHES TO GET COMFORTABLE. . . maybe if men try to keep their eyes to what they're suppose to be doing. . . they would not be seeing "things". . .like an okoda driver blaming a woman for his accident b/c he couldn't pay attention to the road

You may but that is not the reason why the majority of Naija girls go on a skimpy wear fest. It is not weather-driven but rather fashion-driven. At least for most of them. You guys also seem to forget that there are huge temperature changes here in the west. This month the temp could be as low as -4 degrees celsius and the next month it could be as hot as 40 degrees celsius. People are more used to the cold here that when it becomes hot the dressing changes to accomodate the abrupt change in temp. In Nigeria, the temp varies very slightly.

Now there's another reason I'll wear short skirts, tank tops, and big-ass high heels - for fashion. , but never for attention. I get more than enough of that at home.

You've got a point therebut not all women wear it for fashion statement, but if so, does that give men the right to harass them? Have they ever heard of self-control. seeing from this forum, I would say that most, all most, naija men have yet to learn the meaning of self-control.

No!! not all. . . most times, I wear clothes to make myself look/feel good. If men think the same. . ok, if not, it does not bother me. I wear it for my own self, or to dress for an occasion. Who am I trying to look good for? ohh puhhhlz, they can jump over the bridge if they like
