in canada its 18 or 19 varies from provinces , i think its more resonable by 16, because at that age you are already considered and adult

nah, 18 is considered an adult in canada atleast ontario because only at 16 that you're allowed 2 drive and nuthing else and 18 other things but no even to buy smokes and alc.

It is 18 in most parts of the US. I think it should be raised to 21, but those that have sex under that age with people within 2-3 years of them should only get a minor fine.

The age of consent for sex in Texas is 17. Age to start driving is 16. Age to own a permit is 16 too, or maybe 15 and half. Drinking is 21. Well i think that's true, since we have 13 yr old hausa girls getting married. |

The answer to that question is YES. Cos then u are no longer considered a 'minor'. And the guy u have sex with, no matter how old he is (older that is -- if u do a younger guy, You WILL GO TO JAIL -- lol), won't go to jail. Afterall u are above minor. |

That's not entirely accurate. Nigeria does not seem to have a stated age of consent. The age 13 is inferred based on related laws, but there are loopholes. You get a life imprisonment for unlawful sex i.e. rape, with a minor under 13, but it does not state if consensual sex at that age is unlawful. More info here and here. I wonder what those grown men see in pre-teens. |

Age of consent for marriage is 21 and for sex is 16 in Nigeria (as far as I knew before this thread). If you are under 21 you need permission from your parents to get married, but you can open your legs freely.
