6/6/06 - Day Of The Beast?
A lot has been said and written concerning the day & date, 6/6/06 ( 6th June, 2006) because of the mysterious number of the beast "666".
Some have gone ahead to make doomsday prophecies for that day.& to add to the frenzy,a wacky couple from England who are expecting their baby on that day, have come up with the name "Lucy" short for Lucifer for the unborn-baby.
Personally, I think the day will come and go like any other day.
What's your take on this?

I think that is as rubbish as the word rubbish means. Abeg even the biblical 666 doesnt evoke any fear in me talkless of this man made rubbish (God is on ma side).
And if it is in fact true, for believers and un-believers, una better dey quote "FOR THE LORD IS MY SHERPERD, I SHALL NOT FEAR, " or "I LIFT UP MY EYES TO THE HILLS, FROM WHENCE COMMETH MA HELP, "

When did June 6, 2006 become 666? It's funny that some churches have even called for special fasting just for the innocent day. But if people are genuinely born again, why should they be scared of the day?
Mat 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
The day is going to come and go like any other day, but for me, I am going to party because my 2nd daughter (see photo) is clocking 2yrs on that day.

I believe the bible clearly states what is to precede the mark of the beast. So far, I don't recall any famous person/leader being fatally wounded and suddenly ressurcted, for one. I see no leader/person claiming to have the solution to world peace for another.
My 2 cents? Ploy by oyibo to make money. In fact, there is someone here in the states who is releasing a book on that date. Her reason? "The devil made me do it".

Uche1, kind of curious y having made such a passionate, compelling and in my opinion christian-like statement above, you would end it with such choice of words LOL Anywayz, this kind of reminds me of that time, I think in the early 90s, when some Korean group gave the exact date and time (una remember that one?) the world was supposed to end. I was in Unical that time. In fact, we had an exam that day. The prof said he purposely set it on that date to see who would stay back. Needless to say, we all showed up, though the hall was very tense (the world was supposed to end at the very moment our exam ended). As uche1 and others have said above, read the bible fervently and closely. Not even Jesus knows when that day is. All we can do is watch and pray that when it comes "like a thief at night", we have lived our lives up to that point to warrant an automatic green card to heaven  |
