most are not creative. like Wale Adenuga once said, there's so much superficiality in the Gospel music industry. there isn't much good songwriting that is inspirational, mostly recycled stuff. of course there's jeremiah and umosen. but they are so few.

 Hi,

Check out Segun Fakeye (Segzion), his 1st album will be due out soon, but his single is out on the radio already titled MODUPE.  Less I forget, he's also a producer has worked closely with OJB Jezreel and has also helped in producing known names in the music industry.

@ Topic

Are you in Mars?

There's Jeremiah Gyang, Bouqoui, Sammy Okposo and a host of others and there's been these accapella guys (I've forgotten their names, some Seventh Day Adventist guys) who've been around for a while now, they are in canada and in 1999/2000, Boyz II Men where the only visible rivals to them.

And there's finally this new group (really don't know their name) the title is "Olori Oko" and that song is a sure hit, you'll get to hear it. It's been topping charts in Nigeria for 2 months now both gospel and secular.

So if you think Nigerian presently has none, you need to book the next rocket to the world because I doubt you've been here in ages.

Clear?

I want to tell you that there are so many of them that are creative and good in nigeria here. But our gospel music promoters seems not to mindful of those gospel artists with inspirational new creative gospel songs. Instead they promote and produce those ones they believe is marketable, thereby starving the christains in this nation creative and inspirational gospel music. Just because of their quest to make quick money with such a sensitive ministy. I think we needs God's help in this issue.

Just as I am saying, I am a gospel artist with one of the creative and inspiring Gospel album ever written in Nigeria. It's 8 tracks in all, world class and highly inspirational. But who is ready to promote and produce the album among  our gospel music facilitators and promoters as they are called. In case you know any, refer me to them so that I can send my sample. Check my profile for my contacts.

There are so many out there. Sammie has never been wrong. He is a step ahead of others. but there are lots of young upcoming nigerians in this music category. Infinity (Olori Oko) are a great group. someone mentioned this 7th day adventists boys. they were very great. Folake Umosen (yes)! there are a few guys from christ  embassy too following the paths of Buchi. there is one uche something! can't really remember the names now. The truth : most great secular artiste started from the church.

Secular promoters will hardly promote gospel stuffs. Kirk Franklin went through hell even in the US. Folake Umosen CD's were sold on the streets of lagos like recharge cards. The church folks must stand up and create strong promoting companies that will promote their own. Some of these gospel stuffs are often better than the secular. Check out the Olori Oko videos,

The church has been the only  human capital development organisation for a long time but the church must take it to the next level else they will only be developing talents for the wrong clients. Though I agree that the church must build men for the fulfillment of their purposes outside the church.

@uchelite
i admire your faith in your work.Shows u know what your doin.Iam also workin on my album.Ive got a single out bt im having problems circulating the song. You know hw some radio show hosts can be.Bt wt God,nuthin is impossible!

On a general note,i would like to make it known that God is doin a new thing in the gospel music industry.HE is placing his people in positions of power ready to dominate the music scene. It might not appear so now,but u just wait! Like Ty Bello sang "The harvest is ready because the master told me so".
Every gospel artiste with anointed, creative and life-changing albums would get their chance! Its all in God's plans 4 these endtimes. As 4 me,im getting prepared to be a part of the great harvest, what about u?

Gospel artistes in Nigeria have really come of age, with Rooftop Mcs hit  track Lagimo from the

minority report album competing with other secular songs in the markets for a fair share of

the music industry, interesting it comes across first as every other song untill the Award wininig producer comes in with the

brigde   "My head is spinning like  a

carousel from all the tension and i cannot deny that am enjoying the attention crowd is cheering loudly world is looking at me

and for one second i forget that

this is not about me ,spotlight on me if the world could only see that am just a vessel bringing glory on to you ,don't let it get

to my head please save me Lord

 from my flesh, , '

At this point you are forced to listen to the lyrics of the rap done by the duo of So'Kleva and Soul snatcha.

You know my view of this is that with the popularity of this song it will be played in Clubs ,did i hear you say abomination?

Well view it like this: It is being played in a club and then in all the Dancing and,  someone just gets arrested by the song and

it becomes a turning point

Y'all see what i mean

My Take its a great hit for all times

Jeremiah Gyang is really good. His first album was such a masterpiece that a music institute in Canada started analyzing the beats and stuff. JG is good. Infinity's good too.
