The mayhem was caused by a trigger happy Hausa policeman whose stray bullets killed Ibo traders at Ariaria Market. The policeman said he was aiming at an escaping armed robber. And he missed the armed robber. But his stray bullets hit and killed the innocent traders. So, the traders went on rampage and before I posted the news on Nairaland, two Hausas were already mobbed and lynched. One was just one of these Hausa street coblers. They killed him and set him ablaze.
So, the mayhem was deliberately reported as armed robbers invading Aba.
I WILL NOT ADD MORE.

the "igbo" and "ibo" thing is not bad. igbo is if we are speaking our language but in the english version, it is ibo. google it and u will see ibo, that is the spelling the white folks gave it. anyway i use both depending on the one i remember first.

Nwanne, Please try to forget the English version. Don't settle. The correct thing is Igbo and if any one has a problem with the pronunciation, they'll have to deal with it. It's not open for negotiation. |
