Halleluyah: Mikel Obi Joins Chelsea!
« on: June 02, 2006, 10:37 PM »

Chelsea have agreed a fee for John Obi Mikel, bringing an end to a protracted transfer saga with Manchester United.
The Premiership champions will part with £16 million for the 19-year-old, with parent club Lyn receiving £4 million and The Red Devils the other £12 million.

Announcing the deal, Chelsea's fifth of the summer following Michael Ballack, Salomon Kalou, Andrei Shevchenko and Hilario, a statement called for a line to be drawn under the controversial affair - with Mikel now free to concentrate on his future at Stamford Bridge.

Man Utd will also support Chelsea in any work-permit situation if necessary.  Mikel is now expected to be confirmed as a Chelsea player within 24 hours.

Lets give this young lad the support he needs as a Nigerian.
I dont even care if he plays for Bolton FC or Reading.
All we are saying here is it's high time this lad starts playing in the same light as Lionel Messi.

If Mourinho was going to waste him in Chelsea, he wouldn't have continued the fight for the lad! He has a plan for him and that is it!

chelsea can spend millions and put u in 4 only 5games a season,  but lets see how it comes out there is kalou, Ballack and Shevi is meant to join the list now. Chelsea just buy players from other teams so they dont have the chance no one wants to go to Man U becos Chelsea would throw huge sum, I think they are taking it next season again

It is a liar!
Watch out!
Obi will play but as a substitute.
He might not command a regular shirt in Chelsea.
But he will play, watch out!
When will blacks start appreciating their men?
I know if it was Messi all of you will be singing another song.
Why blacky! Niger?

Let me tell you one thing, Mikel has a better chance of grabbing the first team shirt than Drogba, Kalou or any other newly signed player except Shevchenko and Ballack!
