INDICATIONS emerged on Wednesday that the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested the National Coordinator of the Police Equipment Foundation, Mr Kenny Martins.
Our correspondent‘s investigation also revealed that Martins was being detained at the EFFC‘s office in Abuja.
His present ordeal might not be unconnected with his alleged role in the management of the controversial N50bn PEF funds.
The anti-graft agency was also said to have arrested two other associates of Martins, including Alhaji Ibrahim Dumuje.
A source at the EFCC also told our correspondent, ”I can tell you authoritatively that Martins and his two associates are with us.
“The arrest of Martins was a sequel to two separate petitions sent to us by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa‘ad Abubakar, and a non-governmental organisation, the Integrity Group of Nigeria.
