I gather that the ringtones are monotonic, that's real oldschool.

Who needs monotonic ringtones when there are Polyphonic, SMAF, Mp3 and Truetones nowadays??

Yes, but these are Nigerian ringtones!

Seun, are you a clown. Anyway, they're Nigerian tones and I wouldn't mind having them. Please, it's there no way you can make it possible for me to download and use them in Europe or if you provide the software, we can arrange how to make it possible. Just tired of oyibo types. Please, I'm real serious about this cos I'm forced to sing or rather hum tunes into my phone since I don't even know the lyrics. I'll appreciate if you can make it possible.

Justdman, I think the best way to get these Nigerian ringtones is to get someone to compose them for you in keypress format.

Cellulant Executive says "Thank You" to Nairaland
« #18 on: August 08, 2005, 02:42 PM »

I recently recieved the following e-mail from Mr. Bolaji Akinboro, Cellulant's Group Head of Strategy:

Hi Seun,

We were doing a web scan on our company cellulant and we stumbled upon your site and saw a lot of things on our ringtone product in Nigeria. We learnt a lot from the chat discussion  and we must say thank you because you've really helped us even if you don't know us.

Bolaji Akinboro
Group Head of Strategy
Cellulant

Published with permission

In subsequent correspondence, Mr. Akinboro went ahead to say, "the coverage was not little, we notice the ringtone stuff was one of the most read articles.  It exposed latent demand."

This goes to show that we are being noticed and watched by people that matter.  Thanks, Mr. Akinboro.

try www.idonthestreet.com. You can get to download some of the Nigerian polyphonic ringtones to your pc and then to your phone. Or better still from your phone if your operator are on the mobile internet.
