Naomi Campbell Acts Up At Heathrow.

SUPERMODEL Naomi Campbell avoided jail yesterday despite admitting kicking, hitting and spitting at police officers in an extraordinary tantrum on a jet.

Details of the model's behaviour emerged in a West London court as she was sentenced to 200 hours of community service and fined $4800.

The court was told Campbell spat at police and kicked them. And she screamed she had been picked on because she was "black and famous".

The court heard Campbell, 38, lost her temper while waiting for the Los Angeles-bound flight to take off from London's Heathrow Airport on April 3.

She became incensed when told her one of her bags was missing in the chaos surrounding the opening of Heathrow's Terminal 5 and ordered the jet's captain to get off the plane and find it.

When he said that was impossible, she screamed: "F--- you, f--- you, captain."

The court was told the crew then called police, while Campbell shouted into her mobile phone: "They have lost my f------ bags, get me another flight, get the press, get my lawyer."

She was eventually restrained in handcuffs and locked in police cells where she had continued to scream abuse at police, telling one officer: "I'm going to screw you like a motherf-----."

Campbell escaped jail after pleading guilty to two counts of assaulting a police officer, one count of disorderly conduct likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress and using threatening, abusive words or behaviour to cabin crew.

Melanie Parrish, prosecuting, told the court Campbell became furious after she heard one of her bags was missing and the captain, Miles Sutherland, was called.

Campbell shouted at Capt Sutherland: "I can't believe you have lost my f------ bag. Bring me my f------ bag now."

Miss Parrish said: "She ordered him to get her bag but he explained that wasn't going to happen." Campbell screamed: "You are not leaving until you find my f------ bag.

You are a racist, you wouldn't be doing this if I was white."

When police arrived, she kicked PC John Eastick and PC Charles Campling.

"Then she spat and hit PC Eastick on his arm," Miss Parrish said.

She also shouted: "It is because I am a black woman, you are all racists. I am going to sue, I am going to f--- you."

Once off the plane, she told a female officer: "You bitch. It's because I'm black and famous."


If they were being racist to her, then they deserve it.
